Albuquerque, 2240 Q St NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110

If you’re wandering through the high-desert air of Albuquerque’s most popular outdoor "lifestyle center," you’ll find the only Apple Store in the state of New Mexico at Apple ABQ Uptown. Located at 2240 Q St NE, this store is a central hub for the entire Land of Enchantment. Since it first opened its doors in 2010, it has become much more than a place to buy a phone; it’s a modern "town square" where the high-tech world of Silicon Valley meets the relaxed, sun-drenched energy of the Southwest.

The store's design perfectly complements the open-air vibe of the Uptown district. With its massive glass storefront and clean, minimalist interior, it feels bright and expansive even on the hottest New Mexico afternoons. Inside, the signature long maple-wood tables are filled with the latest innovations, from the newest iPhone 17 series to the powerful MacBook Neo. In 2026, it has become the primary destination for locals to experience Apple Intelligence and the Apple Vision Pro firsthand, offering a tactile, low-pressure environment where you can test out devices at your own pace.

What truly sets Apple ABQ Uptown apart is its role as a creative engine for the city. Through the Today at Apple program, the store hosts free daily workshops that turn the retail floor into a classroom. You might find a group of local photographers learning to capture the unique light of a Sandia Mountains sunset, or kids gathered for a "Coding Lab" to build their first apps. Because it is the only location in the state, the store often draws a diverse crowd of students from UNM, local artists, and small business owners, creating a vibrant, community-focused energy you won't find at a typical suburban mall.

Visiting this location is a seamless part of a day out in the city. Whether you’ve booked a Genius Bar appointment for some expert technical help or you’re just ducking in to browse while waiting for a table at the nearby Melting Pot or California Pizza Kitchen, the service is defined by professional expertise and a friendly, local spirit. It is a sophisticated, welcoming anchor in Albuquerque that proves that even the most advanced technology is at its best when it serves a thriving, close-knit community.

I’m not going to lie, I came to the store kind of distressed. I have an iPhone 16 Pro and it’s not even a year old, the audio wasn’t great. Ivan helped me and cleaned out my speaker really well. He was helpful, polite, professional and I left the store not pissed off anymore. Thank you Ivan, you redeemed Apple products for me because I was ready to get an android.

Very bad experience at the store, there was a younger rep dressed as a robber. At the “genius bar” who was pretty much useless in explaining what was wrong with the phone.( I use to work for a phone tech company). He then called an old guy with a red shirt and a condescending behavior that reminded me of my girl’s favorite show , mean girls. He would make condescending comments and did not even bother to check the phone, before setting his terms on how this was going to play out. The IPhone 15 has given me a lot of issues and I’ve visited this store twice. Within 4 months of owning it. The first time they didn’t bother to run a diagnostic. And the second time , they couldn’t identify the issue so they were negligent to replace it.

Corporate really has to check this place and retrain and replace management, as it will begin to effect purchases. They obviously did not want to replace the phone in order to have inventory to sell it. Which is a very short term strategy of retainment.

Continue to report them in order to achieve this.

it’s a conundrum to review anything apple today, as apple corporation has gone fully rotten. So this review is only for this location and it’s staff, who, over the past 8 years have been consistently excellent. A day after my apple care expired, my magic keyboard completely failed ( classic apple in the post Steve era). I live in Taos, so it’s a full day journey round trip to come to ABQ for me, and it was over a month before I appeared to have the problem addressed. Although my policy was quite expired, they replaced my magic keyboard free of charge anyway.
This location is always busy, yet staff have always been professional, helpful and knowledgeable.

9/27/23 2:50pm HORRIBLE COMPANY WITH HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
My mother recently passed. And I went in to speak with a representative about the process I need to take. A "representative" by the name of mark approached me asking how can I help you? I explain my mother passed an just need to know the process to getting her information. He replied I don't know? Let me talk to my manager hold on. He starts helping someone else. Than again another customer comes in he helps them. So I say excuse I see your busy is there anybody else I can talk to? He says no there is nobody here that can help you. I said you didn't even try!! He replied because I already know. We can't help you. What a get way to help a person how's mother just passed away no remorse no compassion. My mother was a big apple fan. She owned every iPhone or I pad. She always raved about the customer service and experience they provide. It hurts to see a company my mom always talked about highly. Treat my self and her in a manner this way let alone someone who's family member just passed away. Mark sir you are a disgraceful person. Thank you for your horrible service and experience. I will never buy a apple product or recommend them. They don't care about you or their customer service!

It’s not the employees fault, but AT&T should really change their policy if a customer is going to purchase an aftermarket screen protector from their business if they sale it and market it to their customers. I had went in last weekend and was told they were out of stock and to come back in sometime this week. Did that and was told I would have to contact the screen protector company who would then ship me another screen protector. And then go back down to AT&T to pay an $8 fee for them to replace it! I dropped $1,400 on an iPhone 14 pro max with accessories and get this cacamayme excuse. It’s a huge inconvenience to me as a consumer. This store had the screen protector in stock on their shelf this weekend. If this place recommends any screen protectors for your phone, get their brand, but they don’t offer privacy screens with house brand. I ended up going to the mall next door to get a privacy screen protector installed for $35.

Don't care about customers. I walked in to see if they had my phone in stock as mine is broken. I was told by apple support to go store to check as that would be the fast way. I approached two employees who were more interested in talking to each other. After three excuse me one snaps back with a what. Which is rude . I explained my situation and asked if they could help they said no and went back to talking to each other. Wouldn't've give me his name. He worked there today an was a very tall athletic built black man that helped and i have to call him out as he would'nt give his name.

It gets so busy here but the employees manage it so well! It’s not a long wait and the employees are always kind. I was helped by Lexi and she explained everything really well and offered me more information on how to avoid the issue again. She definitely deserves some recognition. I was also helped by Jonah and mark and I appreciate the good attitudes and checking in on customers during the wait!
