The providers were good, but the billing department isn't cooperating with me. None of my bill is going through my insurance. There's a chance you will pay your medical bills out-of-pocket, so, given the option, get care elsewhere.

This disgusting hospital I should have walked bad out it was so many OSHA violations on Memorial Day I had the unfortunate pleasure of rushing my son here emergent for ruptured appendix upon arrival there was 2 waiting and a homeless man who took up most of the small areas chairs with various items where my son in agonizing pain could only use one chair so I had to give him the only other available chair while I stood with a torn meniscus bad knee in The window seal was a urine specimen left .the security guard gave the homeless guy a urnial not offer the bathroom couple steps away but a urnal which he used rt at the chair after maybe 10 mins or more the guard put a glove on and grabbed the urnial n the specimen cup left near our seat also the floor try with the leftover food that was on the floor I have been in healthcare 20 yrs and never witnessed such dirty unethical taste accounts

Meds not delivered on timely schedule, secretive staff that don't communicate changes to condition even to power of attorney, just a couple of the non-patient-centered experiences of long stay there. Now patient is on hospice and nursing home level of care and communication is multiple times better! And timely!

Went in on Thursday night and wasn’t seen until 4 am on Friday. Stayed there for three days and was told I was to stay there for a minimum of three more but I left due to medical neglect and homophobia. Was told I needed stitches that I never received. Wasn’t even given a wash cloth to clean the blood off me until I got home. Informed staff that I kept kosher and didn’t get a single kosher meal. A doctor asked my pronouns and laughed at me when I answered. I asked a nurse for ibuprofen for pain and she laughed at me too. I’d say not to go here unless you were dying but I was dying and was ignored.

WORST HOSPITAL IN CHICAGO to make Dr. Appointment. For half hour of more no one answers. Email for appointment, NO REPLY at all. I suggest choose Dr from other hospital.

There is a green eyed black girl who took care of me in the er then the next day I saw her on the 6 floor working. She was sweet and accommodating! She is a nurse but I forgot her name. She made me feel more comfortable with the situation I had If you do see this, you are such a beautiful soul. Thank you from Patrick
Cons the hospital is understaffed and not as clean as it should be.

My service was good and the hospital was clean. I had a great staff. My complaint is.
I had surgery under local anesthesia to remove a screw from my foot from a past surgery. The doctor attempted on his office under local as well but. Bone grew over the screw head so he needed me to go into the hospital because he did not have the tool in the office but did at the hospital to grind down my bone ( 3 shots of lydacaine is what he gave me in the office). Day of surgery I was awake and also received 3 shots on my foot. Lydacaine administered by my doctor.
I paid my bill and some time later I get a collection letter for over 1 thousand dollars about me not paying my anesthesia bill administered by a 2 and party. This is exactly why I wanted to be local. So I can see what was being done and to avoid a high bill.
North America Partners on Anesthesia are the ones trying to collect for a service they did not perform.
Please ck your itemized bill. They sent mine to collections after I asked for surgery notes and itemized bill. I will have to get a lawyer to dispute it as when I had my foot surgery my actual bill was indicated that I had a facelift. Lol

I've never had such things. After several attempts with the billing dept to correct the codes pertaining to my hardware removal. ( They never did correct it by the way)

Go elsewhere if you must. The docs are good and so is the staff but whomever is entering the codes on the billing dept is screwing things up.

It's been 2 years and they have yet to correct anything nor provide me with actual itemized plus doctor notes of my day of service.

This hospital is the worst hospital my brother Victor Martinez has been in. Right now he is here and he is being totally neglected. Today I am trying to transfer him to Northwestern hospital. They careless about patients like my brother. Victor is quadruplegic cannot move nor speak and I believe that's why they just careless. I will file a complaint with department of health. Since I have pictures and videos of what they are doing to him.

I went to emergency room first the took me 20 so the can take care of me there was nobody in the building no one in the emergency rooms and they still took 3 hours to see me and I only had a broken finger you can be dying in this hospital and they still won't take the worst hospital I ever see it's just not fair how they treat you they should close this hospital

I am a migrant from another country, my family and I temporarily ended up in a shelter, and it so happened that I got sick, had a fever for 4 days and had severe pain in the right side of my abdomen, I had to call an ambulance, and they brought me to this hospital. This is a terrible staff, I really regretted that I came to them, I thought that I would die in the lobby without waiting for the doctors, then I thought that such a terrible attitude towards me because I am a migrant, I’m also Asian, but after reading the comments I realized what kind of attitude they have them to all. Of course, I’m not talking about all the staff; there are probably magical doctors. The thing that surprised me the most was when the doctor said before discharge: - (you have problems with the liver, you need to drink less alcohol!...) And this was said by a doctor with great experience, he didn’t even ask if I take alcohol, although I’m not a drinker and This is just one of many points that I would list but it’s not worth it. In general, today I’m lying down, my stomach is tingling. I hope it goes away on its own. Thanks for everything, it still helped.
