Had surgery here. The doctor was great, phenomenal, outstanding, but when I was ready to be discharged all the nurses were missing in action. I’m guessing they need to milk the clock and insurance money since there were very few other patients on my floor? If too few patients on the floor they might have to clock out? Supposedly their phone system went down? Even so you should have a contingency plan and taking out my IV and changing the dressing shouldn’t take 90 minutes, which never happened. Really sad because the care was great yet slacking off at the end ruined an overall positive experience. If you ever want to know what could be wrong in this world, look in the mirror.

This hospital stay was extremely disappointing. The nurses rarely responded promptly to the call light and were often discourteous when they did. Requests took an unreasonably long time to be fulfilled. One nurse, in particular, neglected my brother throughout the night. leaving me to handle his personal care because he stated he didn’t have the time. It's highly unlikely that we will ever return to this hospital, as their standards of care seem to be a legal concern in the making.

Do not go here! Came in to the ER last year. Was not treated well. Waited an incredibly long time. But the real nightmare began after I had left the ER. The billing systems are archaic. They billed insurance I haven’t had in over 12 years. Then they sent bills to a very old address (luckily I know the person who lives there and they notified me). Hey kept my maiden name which I haven’t had in 10 years. I called multiple times to get all this corrected and each time was told they had updated. But no it wasn’t. Calling to get things corrected took hours because the number listed on all the paperwork is not correct so they have to transfer you after you get through the first time. They billed me nearly $30,000 for a visit that ultimately cost less than $800. Felt like I was going crazy!!

Extremely disappointing billing experience. Swedish forced us to pre-pay for their portion of a medical service and then took months to process the claim (despite numerous calls/inquiries) with our insurance. This meant the amount didn't count towards our deductible or out of pocket for nearly half the year, complicating all other insurance claims.
After 6 months, they send a bill for a small amount more. When calling to understand why and what changed, I was blind transferred 5 times, starting at the end of the queue each time, and having to provide repetitive info to both the automated response and representative. After nearly an hour, they could not explain why the amounts were different and then the "customer service" rep just hung up. Very frustrating experience because they didn't seem to understand their own billing, provided horrible customer service, and then just expect you to blindly pay.

Absolutely nightmare. I am an RN and have worked on med/surg in the past. The incompetence and lack of problem solving skills here was shocking. An LPN argued with me while my dads O2 level was dropping. I easily could have solved the problem by increasing his oxygen or applying a new monitor. Instead of doing either of these simple solutions she insisted we walk out of the room where she showed me a monitor down the hallway that had no value listed for my dad. This really felt like she would rather argue than assess her patient or do bare minimum monitoring and safety precautions. I understand staffing shortages but when the few nurses available don’t practice safely patients are really at high risk. I hope your family does not have the misfortune to be as sick as my dad but if they do I hope you can take them to a different facility or at least get nurses with some common sense. I hope that LPN makes some changes in her practice before someone gets seriously hurt, especially if it’s as simple as monitoring their oxygen level.

I’ve been in many hospitals and I’ve never been in one like Swedish where I was uncomfortable the whole time there! Overall the nurses were ok but I will never go back there! Good thing was only there two days or I’d left on my own! One time I was in the Greeley hospital for two weeks and never felt like I did at Swedish medical center! What a stressful experience! Never again

This is a good place to go to if your stroke is severe and you have no wish to be proactive in your care. They use airbeds in their stroke ward so your bed inflates and deflates all night long, which is good if you're comatose, but not if you are awakened by inflating and deflating mattresses. The doctors have no interest in modifying habits, nutrition, behavior etc., just prescriptions of the usual 3, one of which causes heavy internal bleeding.
I left the place with one piece of paper - the prescription - and nothing else in hand. No test results, no follow up and it is 2 months of phone calls trying to get copies of test results. Even though I signed papers daily, not one copy of them or one paper of instructions. They finally sent me a long form to fill out which I must mail back, and they will send papers. Not one doctor or nurse really asked me anything about myself, but assumed I ate the great American diet, which I don't. Menu had just one organic item. To be fair, over easy eggs were perfect, but I doubt they were pasture raised. Lettuce was usually sad looking.

Their phone numbers don't work. I've literally been trying to pay them since August and I've never received a bill, nor an account number to be able to log in to anything online. Their phone number doesn't work, and if you ask for billing via the main line, they connect you to a different hospital. If you call the billing line directly, it disconnects. There is literally no other way to contact them. Utter incompetence.

Labor and Delivery here was such a fantastic experience. Cheryl and Nicole couldn’t have been more fantastic nurses, the anesthesiologist Karen was so kind and understanding and delivered the exact kind of epidural I wanted. Cheryl always went above and beyond to make sure all of my needs were met and then more, I felt so seen and heard by her and so valued. The little mementos they send you home with just are the cherry on top. I love how calm and chill this hospital is. Highly recommend birthing babies here.

I have been looking for answers for weeks and finally found help at Swedish Medical Center.

Having problems with my nervous system and finding it almost impossible to find help. At Swedish I was seen and heard. The nurses also were extremely fun and kind. Thanks for much for your kind help Mackenzie Grace PA! I am thankful to start my journey to healing with Swedish.

Unfortunately the staff on the floor after surgery, except for ONE nurse Ester, was shockingly awful! 2 hour wait for pain meds after call, 55 minute wait after call for assistance to the bathroom post op …. And all finally showing up with a really unpleasant attitude. Not what we had ever experienced there before.

We’ll, after being hung up on by a very nasty representative, I have been trying to schedule an eeg for a long time! First time when I called back after I was hung up on, I got the phone run around. “ oh you need to talk to such and such”, when connected to such and such I was again told the same thing and on and on! I was so frustrated I waited a few days and called today! Got the run around again! Today something’s wrong with their phones so the “manager is supposed to call me back, lol!!! We’ll see! My Dr. put in the order, so I thought they(Swedish) were supposed to call me and make sure I got scheduled!!!! I’ve mostly dealt with Littleton Adventist and if your doc puts in a request for a patient, they will call you till the procedure is scheduled!!!

Worst hospital besides a handful of nurses if that and a few docs that pop they head in for 2 mins a day. It takes hours to get medication and to get personal hygiene cleaned up. My boyfriend didn't eat for a week cuz no nurse helped him when it says in 2 different places that he needs help being fead. If u want to be ignored, treated like ur bugging the nurse's, sit in a dirty diaper for hours and wait for medication for hrs then this hospital is the place for u. Someone really needs to come investigate this hospital
