Run far away from this hospital. UCHealth Denver Hospital is a disgrace. Go to St. Anthony, go to Swedish, anywhere but here. My fiance' has a terrible condition that flares up several times a year and puts her in 10/10 agonizing pain and non-stop nausea and vomiting. She has a very specific protocol that has been proven to work at other hospitals in Colorado and out of state that relieves her symptoms and allows her body to reach stability again. UCHealth doctors not only won't administer her protocol, because they don't want to have to monitor her, but they actively try to reduce her treatment every chance they get while she's in so much agony that she wants to die.

When I am at UCHealth advocating for my fiance', I manage to come close to getting the doctors to do what needs to be done and they do so while I am there. As soon as I leave, they go back to not providing the care that has been proven to work. How can they be so heartless to let a vulnerable woman experience such pain 24 hours a day? The attitudes of the doctors and many of the nurses are despicable given the condition my fiance' is in. The only reason we came to this hospital again was because my fiance' had a flare up while at a conference at a nearby hotel with a friend who isn't experienced in caring for my fiance' when she gets sick. UCHealth was the only immediate option.

After leaving my fiance' in such agony for days, with PTSD compounding, my fiance' checked herself out against medical advice while I was not there. UCH made a vulnerable, drugged patient who was under the *duress* of excruciating pain sign a waiver against the hospital and then didn't even give her any discharge instructions or prescriptions. She had an infection that they were treating with anti-biotics and they didn't even give her any instructions for how to treat it at home.

Shame on UCHealth.

So I called 911 because I was bleeding uncontrollably from my head that take me in and make me sit there and bleed for two hrs before anyone even came to see the extent of my injury while thay sat and chi chatted and gossiped by the time that finally came and looked at what was wrong I was in so much pain was not offered any pain medicine before she aggressively started pushing and poking at my injury but forced to deal with the pain for almost 30 mins that I couldn't stand it anymore. Then the superviser of the hospital whoever she is was absolutely nasty to me she made me feel like I would rather die outside than be treated how she was treating me i couldn't understand why or what I did to deserve such foul treatment but I have never felt the same emotionally since I was treated that way that day I was given something threw a iv was not told what it was it was not documented in my discharge paperwork or nothing while I was in the ER thay dident bother to do a ct scan or nothing when I came in with a extensive head injury thay dident even consider I could have a brain bleed or swell because I got blunt force trauma to the head thay went straight to stitching me up again with no pain treatment or anything worst pain if my life 15 stitches later thay kik me out labled me as a junky saying i did drugs when i dont do drugs sending me infirmation packets on meth and herion this day changed my life i will never be comfortable in hospitals again I feel like no other person deserves to experience this from a hospital who is held to such high expectations And that I deserved to be compensated

Even my ct scan and other information they lost also couldn’t find any of my records that even indicated I was there. This was and is the worst hospital in the u.s.a please I beg of you do not go here for anything.

I have been to University hospital numerous times And for the most part I've been fairly happy. Until yesterday. My doctor Has sent me to the emergency room because I was bleeding internally. The doctor I seen in the emergency room was doctor Jean Hoffman. I have never seen a doctor more underqualified and unprofessional in my life In the last 2 years I have spent more than 4 months in the hospital and dealt with more doctors than I could count. I've had nurses more nowledgeable than this doctor Jean Hoffman. So I am telling you if you end up in the emergency room and get doctor Jean Hoffman run run run If you Value your life. Patient advocate is a joke they will not answer your phone calls or return your call.

Came into the ER at 3 AM with extreme back pain, the security when I was checking was downright disrespectful and has no sense of empathy. She was intimidatingly STARING me down like I was being dramatic, seemed annoyed and rudely responded to my partner about where to stand in line like we were incompetent.

Nurses and doctors were amazing with me though! Took my concerns seriously, I almost left feeling happy but that female security guard needs to be fired or taught some basic human decency.

Why is the hospital such a long walk FROM public transportation? If you ride the train, its 0.8 miles from the Colfax station to the outpatient pavilion. If you're coming from Fitzsimmons, it's 1.2 miles. That's a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong walk in hot Colorado sun with no shade in the summer, and ugly winds and ice in the winter. (And let's not even mention the meth and tranqheads in the area.) The city and state should be ashamed of themselves for such poorly designed access to a taxpayer supported resource. That's only one complaint (of many) but it should tell you a lot about what the hospital stands for and what the hospital/city/state's priorities are.
Tell us again how many Kia and Hyundai's were stolen from the parking lots over the past 4 years, please. Walk, drive, or train, this whole place is best to avoid if you can at all help it... not everyone has that option.

Yesterday, I had an unsettling experience that led me to visit the emergency room. The discomfort I was feeling was quite concerning, but fortunately, my visit turned out to be an incredibly positive one. From the moment I stepped foot inside, starting with the friendly security guard and the intake staff, I was met with a team of amazing individuals who were not only helpful but also displayed a genuine sense of positivity and kindness.

Although I regret not being able to recall everyone's name, I do remember meeting Dr. Adams during the triage process. Following that, I was assisted by a team of dedicated nurses and a nurse practitioner. Without exception, each person I encountered was not only kind and professional but also went above and beyond to help me in my situation.

Walking into a large hospital like that, one might assume that personal care may be lacking. However, I can confidently say that my experience was quite the opposite. The staff demonstrated an exceptional level of care, providing me with the assistance I needed and ensuring that I felt supported throughout my time there.

I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to everyone who played a role in my care. Your kindness, professionalism, and willingness to help made a significant impact during a challenging time. Thank you for your dedication and for making my visit to the emergency room a positive one.

Ridiculously terrible customer service. I bring my 95 year old grandmother to the hospital for an appointment and they have NO wheelchairs available and waited well over 30 min to obtain one. My grandmother can't walk and I am in disbelief that this is how they are treating their elderly patients.

Having read reviews I was a little hesitant to bring my 8 year old here to the ER for her arm. But I thought I'd give it a shot since moving to Denver. I have to say although it was a little wait maybe in total like an hour we were in and out pretty quickly. Everyone was gentle with her and always let her know what they were doing and even did blood pressure on her other arm. Luckily it wasn't anything major except bruising and a sprain. They even gave me a wrap to use for her to help keep her comfortable for the next week or so while she tries to get better. Overall a pretty good experience.

My daughter and newborn granddaughter had the worse labor and delivery experience known to man. I will be writing a formal or official complaint to let as many people know what transpired so this doesn't happen to another family. Right now, I am fore warning you, that you should try another hospital, anything other than University. Our baby ended up in NICU on account of their practice and health administration. Thank God we are out and receiving the best care for both of them through other practices and Children's

This place sucks don't trust the cardiologist team at all they said because of my side pain I have to be admitted for 6 weeks got my blood pressure high. Blacked mailed me by saying if I don't stay they won't fill my meds..then telling me if I leave after my test tomorrow that's my choice but I could die if I don't. Please don't trust this place I hate being here crying in pain and all they did was say sorry. Stay away from this place. Especially a doctor called Maxwell they raised my my blood pressure so bad I can't get better and will be filing a complaint against this place

Worst hospital ever. My father suffered greatly in their "care". He was showing signs of stroke coming on, and two days later he was found in the kitchen of his house. He had a massive stroke that left him paralyzed on the right side of his body and unable to speak. Also! The nurses are too busy flirting/gossiping with one another to care for anyone else. I asked where I could get some water, and they looked at me and just didn't respond. AVOID THIS PLACE. I wish I didn't have to even give this place a star.

My son is a yr old and has COVID with a 102 Temp. We didn't want to take a baby out in the cold with COVID and 102 temp so we scheduled a virtual appointment. Unfortunately the app was was not working as these people are really telling me they wont give me any advice or care tips for a baby w COVID and a 102 temp. These untrained college students are experimenting on us to further either careers, it's disgusting. It's not the only bad experience I've had w UC health. THEY ARE BAD FOR HEALTHCARE
