This is my second time renting from Avis in South Florida.


Both during busy weekends and they always have a car ready for me. I also made a last minute reservation for my dad. They take pride in getting their customers in a vehicle. The friendly rental specialist take the time to go over my selection on the rental, road side assistance, toll, etc. The drop off process is quick and easy, with no surprises on the final bill. Highly recommend if you are looking for a reliable and stress free rental.

The car was not in any condition to be rented out. The car smelled of animal urine, which caused sinus and alergoes to my family. It was not cleaned and there was electrical issues present. There was a lack in the car maintenance, and was low in fuel. A horrible rental experience!

Don't bother renting from Avis at the FLL Airport. Over 2 hours standing in line for the agents to serve, no more than, 8 families ahead of us. Poor customer service and a careless approach to clients. Rent from another company, you'll be thankful you did.

This was my absolute worst rental experience through Avis, or any other car rental company ever. It took hours to get our vehicle, we encountered discourteous, rude staff at multiple points in the process. It continued as we picked up our car, and there was no one in the lot to even guide you. Again, an angry mob of people. When we finally got our car, it was totally filthy inside and out. A complete disappointment from start to finish..

I recently had a disappointing experience at your FLL location that I feel compelled to share. Firstly, my reservation for a compact car resulted in being given a sedan. Upon querying this at the Avis Preferred counter, the staff's response was both rude and impatient, forcing me to pay extra for another compact car. This lack of customer service was disheartening.

Additionally, upon returning the car, I was sent to the counter without receiving a receipt. This led to unnecessary inconvenience as the staff couldn't check out my car properly. I was then asked to locate my returned car in the parking lot, with no assistance, raising concerns about the security of your process. As a loyal member, I found this experience offensive and believe that customers should not bear the burden of operational lapses. I hope you can address these issues to maintain the quality of service that loyal patrons expect.

Do not rent from Avis in Ft Lauderdale unless you have the patience of Job and don't need to be somewhere. The pickup process is a disaster. Only 2 representatives working counter, and this caused a 45min wait. Then on top of that we were given a car that someone else previously rented ahead of us... thus starting the delay process even further. It took us 1.5hrs from the time we got in line to actually pulling out with our car. We had reserved this month's in advance, plus filled out everything online ahead of time. None of that mattered. In my opinion, it wouldn't matter if we walked off street, or reserved ahead.

Avis has gone downhill. I’ve had 3 rentals in a row with low tire pressure (one 10PSI, aka flat, and had to be immediately returned). Customer no-service. One person at the desk for late flights at a major airport is ridiculous. 45 min wait for their best customers (President’s Club) even with a reservation.

Just checked the car in. You know by leaving it with its keys in it Nissan Armada by employee number 99987 and they ding me $130 for fuel saying they had to fill it up 12 gallons. It had a full tank in it so unless you siphoned it stop trying to rip people off. Do not rent from this company. Every time I rent from them there's an issue!!
