- We rented our car from the Avis location at 153 west 54th st NYC. The staff was professional, helpful, and we will rent again from this location. We rented a great car at a great price. Another big plus! They are open until 11:00 pm The last place we rented a car from closed at 3:00 pm. We had to pay for another day and for parking.

- read past reveiws of rentals from this depot in New York just before pickup and was dreading it, but was pleasantly surprised. helpful and friendly staff and security quick and efficient 15 minutes turnaround and was shown around the car. The car was fabulous love the experience from pickup at centre of New York to dropoff at Jfk airport. Thankyou all at Avis

The original car that was rented to me was in terrible shape. It had clearly been in an accident (damage to the front corner) and the tires were so worn down that it would never have passed inspection. Luckily the roadside assistance was great and they helped me swap out for a satisfactory vehicle, but the overall experience was not worth my money.

Worst customer service. Staff really rude. Lady at the counter is not paying attention and is more interested in leaving early. So much for the Avis president club status. Won’t be coming to this location next time.

I have been charged for gas several times even though I buy gas and return the car at the same level I got it ( with a receipt for gas ).
