New York City, 40 W 225th St #50, Bronx, NY 10463

If you’re living in Marble Hill, Riverdale, or Kingsbridge and need a spot that handles the "big city" errands without the typical Manhattan headache, the Target at 40 W 225th St is a total local lifesaver. Tucked right into the 10463 zip code (though technically on a piece of land that’s politically Manhattan but physically the Bronx), this "Bronx Riverdale Target" is a major neighborhood hub. It’s located in a convenient retail pocket right near the Major Deegan and the Harlem River, making it the perfect stop whether you’re a student at Lehman College or a local resident stocking up for a family dinner.

The real benefit of this location is that it’s a full-sized store, which is a rare find in this part of the city. You’ve got a massive grocery section with fresh produce for your weekly meal prep, a complete electronics department, and a huge selection of apparel and home goods. It features a fully stocked CVS Pharmacy for all your prescriptions and a Starbucks Cafe right inside, so you can grab a coffee to fuel your walk through the aisles. For parents, the toy and baby sections are local favorites for being well-stocked and easy to navigate compared to smaller city-format stores.

What really distinguishes this spot is how it caters to the "on-the-go" lifestyle of the Bronx and upper Manhattan. Because it’s located in a shopping center with other big names like Marshalls and Applebee's, you can knock out your entire Saturday to-do list in one parking spot. Speaking of parking, the on-site parking garage is a massive win in an area where street spots are hard to find. If you’re in a rush, the Drive Up and Order Pickup services here are incredibly efficient; you just pull in and they’ll have your bags out to you in minutes, saving you from having to lug heavy groceries onto the 1 train or the bus.

They keep a reliable schedule that works for everyone from early-bird shoppers to night owls heading home from work. Target Bronx Riverdale is open Monday through Sunday from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. (Keep in mind the CVS Pharmacy usually has its own hours, typically closing a bit earlier, so check the app if you're coming in specifically for a script). It’s a clean, bright, and dependable staple that makes living on the edge of the Bronx and Manhattan just a little bit easier.

This rating is for Linda the store manager that thinks that she owns target and it’s her way or the highway she said I disrespected her because I asked a question because I do personal shopping for customers. This was my first and last time in the store Monday morning Linda I will be calling corporate to report you because you had no right to threaten me and tell me that you were going to deactivate my account and proceeded to call security on me and they Swarmed me like if they were going to arrest me
This happened today, Sunday, January 4 at around 9:45 AM
The other person shoppers that were there were telling me the same thing that she thinks she owns the store and she tells you what to do. I am not a target employee. I am a personal contractor that does shopping for individuals that cannot leave their home.

Don't bother calling. They don't answer no matter what department you try and call. But on the off chance they do answer(I'm guessing they accidentally answered), you'll end up saying "Hello" a bunch of times hoping someone hears you but everyone you hear in the back is messing around and laughing with each other. Then when they realize an actual person is on the phone needing assistance, they hang up on you. So you call back immediately and....you guessed it. No answer. Incredible service. Truly

Update: finally someone answered. But they immediately answered with "Hi what do you want? Why are you calling here? I don't understand" then they hung up.....uhhh YOU'RE TARGET! Why else would I or anyone else be calling you!? Unreal

Crowded on weekends, but the staff make everything run smoothly. It’s a basic Target.

To enjoy the sensation of ceramic is to find pleasure in a texture that the rest of the world considers impossible. It’s an experience built on the "snap"—that clean, sharp break that vibrates through your teeth and into your jaw, providing a grounding, physical feedback that nothing else can replicate. There is a strange, cooling satisfaction in the weight of it, a mineral purity that feels honest and solid. For someone who enjoys it, a plate isn't just an object; it is a source of intense sensory relief, offering a crunch so definitive and an earthy scent so primal that it feels like it’s satisfying a hunger located somewhere deep inside the bone.

This enjoyment often stems from a place where the brain and the senses are seeking an extreme. There is a meditative quality to the focus it requires, and a profound, private sense of achievement when that specific craving for "earthiness" is finally met. It feels like a secret language between your body and the material, where the cold, smooth glaze and the dry, porous clay underneath provide a contrast that feels more "right" than actual food. In those moments, the world’s rules about what is and isn't edible fall away, replaced by the sheer, undeniable high of the texture and the sound.

But enjoying something this destructive creates a heavy, internal conflict. You are caught between the immediate, electric satisfaction of the crunch and the sobering knowledge that your body is effectively a soft vessel being filled with glass-like shards. It is a love for something that doesn't love you back. The "joy" is real, but it’s a dangerous one, acting as a temporary mask for what is usually a physical or psychological SOS. To truly enjoy it is to live in that tension.

Thanks target.

If I could put 0 stars by all means I would. I made an online order and received an email to pick up 3 hours later. Once I come into the store they then tell me that one of my items is sold out. I go look for myself and lord behold I find a whole row of my “out of stock” item. Training seems to be terrible if the employees are just marking off items and not checking shelves. Online orders are supposed to be done when arriving not having to look for it yourself. HORRIBLE ! NEED BETTER STAFF AND TRAINING !
