TOP important and interesting reviews from patients

I delivered my first baby boy at St Francis women and children on July 12. Being my first baby, I was so nervous for the entire experience. I had Dr Randolph as my OB from Southside OBGYN and am totally impressed with her and would highly recommend her. When I got admitted for delivery, everyone was fantastic that we dealt with. Dr Randolph was thankfully on call, so we had her checking on me. We then had Kayla as our nurse and she was absolutely amazing!!! She did about 90% of the entire laboring portion and I cannot say enough nice things about her. She made the entire experience awesome. Dr Randolph’s shift ended a few hours before I delivered and she took the time to come in and tell me bye and who I would have deliver our baby. We had Dr Dunlap who in the few hours we had him, we were so impressed and thankful. Every first time mom is nervous for their first birth and I can honestly say that this birth was an amazing experience all because of Dr Randolph, Kayla and Dr Dunlap. We are also thankful to God for a safe delivery of our sweet boy. I would highly recommend these doctors and nurses! Thank you so much!

My husband was admitted to the hospital with a serious case of pneumonia. I can't say enough about how kind and helpful everyone was during his time there. From housekeeping to food service, to aids, nurses, and doctors he couldn't have had better care. Thank you Franciscan staff.

I received very good care during my outpatient procedure. Caring and genuine staff.

I'm very pleased with my quick recovery. Thank you

If I could give this place a 0 I would. My brother was having awful chest pain and experiencing shallow breathing. We got there at 1:30pm and he got taken back at 5:10pm. There were about 15 people there when we first arrived. And the crowd grew increasingly bigger, to about 30-35. All of which got taken back before him. I get he’s not physically ill on the outside, but what if he was experiencing a heart attack? or a stroke? This places’ memo should be “emergency room but you’ll be sitting and waiting for 4+ hours unless you’re bleeding out”.

I was scheduled for an induction. I started contracting and arrived at appointment time to be toward no beds are available and they didn’t know when I could get induction. Remind you I am full term pregnant, contracting and wasn’t heard. The staff was rude. I was sent home 3 times and never received a call to come in for induction. Instead I called several times to advocate for myself and my baby. I ended up going to another hospital and delivered my child.

Waited an hour and a half with a leg laceration and had to walk out without treatment. Never taken back after admission and the entire waiting room was filled with emergency situations and no one to take care of them.

This was extremely hard for me to do. I absolutely love this hospital. They literally saved my life at mooresville. And i spent a lot of time at emerson campus. Every time I'm there I write 5 to 10 of the above and beyond care cards and brag about the nursing Staff. They're always above board. I cannot convey how much I love this hospital and it breaks my heart to write this. So I convinced christy to receive care for what ended up being a kidney stone all this aside Dr shaw was amazing and day shift staff was all great including the charge nurse for day. Night shift showed up 1.5 hrs late after the iv pump beeped forever and I muted it so christy could sleep .night charge nurse finally showed up snd looked right at me and said who allowed you in here. Then without waiting even a second said who Gave you permission ? Who approved you. I said well christy spoke with. 4 different people through the day while I sat In front of them and said ya can stay we get a blanket for the couch? Oh is he staying? Yes. Hey can he get a couple of blankets for tonight. You bet. Are you staying? Yes gonna be here for her. Over and over and the last guy to leave day saw me sleeping on the couch said bye to me. She entered a couple of things in the computer and then said no one is allowed to spend the night . Now I'll tell ya I spent months in st francis for cancer and had many over night guests and they always told you at the front entrance what the rules were. So before she left the room christy asks why is he not allowed to spend the night. ???? We don't know. Covid she said with desperation. Christy said " covid hasn't been a problem for months. No one is wearing masks. She leaves . Now the nurse shows up. She says I want you to know I was late because I came in at 930 if I'd been here at 8pm I would have called security and had you thrown out. So here's my thing. I didn't cause any issues. Didn't bother anyone ,wasn't rude and Didn't offend anyone. I actually ended up filling out 6 cards for exemplary service from day shift. That's how good things had gone. Then she doubles down and says you know they have cameras all over this hospital they should have seen you sneaking to the room. I'd been there with her all day except after first surgery I went to the small Cafe and then went to the large Cafe so I could get christy some snacks. I never did anything bad to anyone never treated anyone with disrespect but these 2 Karen's who obviously get off on being rude to people. A lot of nurses work their butts off. And all of them deserve respect for doing their job, but not all nurses deserve to be nurses snd some shouldn't be in charge of people alone with no supervision. When christy asked Ella the nurse who obviously didn't want someone to see what she's doing or not doing Ella decided christy should try some melatonin. Now christy said no I've never heard of that but christy had. It's the one that foster parents get in trouble for giving a lot to their kids so they'll go to sleep and not be up. So basically, hey christy here take this so you'll go to sleep snd not ask me for meds and I can get a break while everyone is asleep. Christy asked 2x jeremy hasn't done anything wrong. He actually has helped me up to go to the bathroom and made sure to make your jobs easier. So why can't he stay. She said I don't have the answer. So my thing is the nurse and the charge nurse want to make sure to have me thrown out for no reason but want to make sure that no one spends the night. They said that's the rule for all of st francis you need to ask permission. So I asked for permission the next day hours before and said is this gonna be a problem. Please don't bring up the nurse and charge nurse so there's no repercussions against christy or revenge played out against her since they'll have her there alone. Day charge said no its not going to be an issue. Couple hours later she popped in and said hey got permission and he's allowed. 1 hr later sorry got an email he can t stay. No reason given.

Rude hospital staff and stupid. Called the ambulance to take me to the emergency and the hospital had me wait in the waiting room for 4 hours in pain. the nurse told “if you managed to get here you can wait” and I told them that I didn’t get here on my own I called the ambulance to bring me here I could barely move. They’re also very racist.

First 2 or 3 days here they make you feel like you are important. Any longer than that an they start forgetting about you. I been here 7 days as of now from a broken vertebrae in my neck. It took them 2 and a half hours for me to get some water for my meds. Then certain nurses try to act like therapist. All they did was tell me I need to figure out how to do more for my kids. Even with 3 broken vertebrae and brain bleeding. I am potentially going to be hear for a long time. Ugh.

Doctors are horrible and lack compassion. My mom died here and everyday before her death they tried bullying me into pulling plug, they tried playing God, God took her when he was ready, not because they wanted the bed. Disgusting, will never go back to this hospital. Only giving one star because I had to in order to post.

They say it's a little things so until I was just charged and not given back my full pack of cigarettes and lighter I was happy with everything I'm on a fixed income and for them not to offer to give me these back unheard of or

Very disappointed in the care received here. Equipment used on multiple patients without sanitizing, no communication from the providers, and was told by the ED MD that he had 60 patients to see before he could go home and I wasn’t a priority. Will never return to this facility.

I was making payments, but didn't have enough to pay it all off as fast as they wanted so they sent me to collections. I have 8 separate bills from a single hospital stay. This is ridiculous.

Nurses are fine, almost every doctor I saw was incredibly rude and had no time to talk to me. Several literally stuck their head in the door, asked how I was and left. Boom, $400. I tried to get a question in to one doctor and he left while I was talking.

Update, don't even come here to die. It'll drag on for way too long and be excruciating. The communication here between staff is absolutely atrocious. A family member is here and the treatment is absolutely trash. They've had a gnat problem since my own stay years ago and haven't been able to fix it. Case worker has zero clue what's going on and isn't up to date at all. A couple day stay has turned into weeks because nobody can get on the same page. All that's needed is a meeting between the doctors and palliative care, but they've just been leaving conflicting messages in his charts for weeks now.

I wish there was a zero. If you or a loved one is suffering from a mental illness or having a mental episodes, please I beg you seek care elsewhere. It is hospitals like this that are the reason there are so many psychotic events in the world. If they will let a patient seeking help leave the ER without even being evaluated, then told two days later by a Psychiatrist that the person is suffering a manic episode and is beyond treatment and needed to return to the ER to be checked in and evaluated. Thank God for the fast reaction of his PCP, who is with the St Francis network and along with his staff knew exactly how to treat the person without returning to the ER. SO PLEASE AT ALL COST AVOID THIS ER!!!!

Woke up due to pin worm infestation, 2am I head to the hospital. My ear is swollen shut and I have condition of these worms throughout my body.
Okay so we arrive and the indoctrination me, take my blood and then we sit for 2.5 hrs emergency room - do we understand what emergency means lol)
I have evidence of these worms in a zip loc baggie for their review as well. Just trying to make everything easy for everyone, right.
So after I present my evidence and a blood sample, this 20 year old (doctor??!) and tells me my blood work is done and my vitals say I health and there was nothing they could do, I asked why won’t you help me
He had the security guard escort me to my vehicle.
This place is awful and won’t recommend them for anything except devil worship..just saying what’s wrong with America and its people.
I fought in dessert storm and served my country proudly!
I curse you and your devil house and your lack of commitment for helping people.
20 year old doctors?!
Do not depend on this place for anything if you’re smart.
James
