TOP important and interesting reviews from patients

I have a litany of health issues. ER visits are unfortunately common for me. In the last two years I have visited and been admitted to at least 15 hospitals in 3 states.

This one is a little dirty, but not the worst I've seen. The nurses and Doctors have been wonderfully helpful, concerned and quick. With all hospitals admission times vary greatly depending on more factors than the patient will likely ever know fully, so my wait time for a room here hasn't been determined, but even with it being several hours expected length this is not the worst I have experienced. I was in an ER for 3 days in Memphis, before they moved me to a room for 12 hours before discharging me. So even if this takes 12 hours from arrival that's still 60 hours better than at least one Memphis hospital.

The team at CHI St. Vincent were amazing! I came to the ER with stomach pain at 2am and went home the following evening without my Appendix. Everyone I met in the ER, pre-op, post-op and surgical floor were fantastic (nurses, docs, techs, you name it); they were kind, considerate, caring, and compassionate. I highly recommend this team!

Under the circumstances (surgery)we had awesome stay & experience ,the staff here was so kind & caring and it sure appeared 2 me they cared about their job & patients .we were do impressed with the doctors & their team = pic is the little Rock skyline from her room

Their billing is a screwed up mess. I got a bill from them after my insurance covered it's portion. I paid what I owed them using the phone pay option, and it emailed me a receipt with a payment confirmation number. They called me today demanding that I pay them when I already did. I made the payment a week ago. I checked with my credit card company and the payment was approved, authorized, and has posted to my Monday. I made the automated phone payment on Sunday. This is still a screwed up mess.
There's no way I'm ever going to use St Vincent again or go to any doctors affiliated with them. I'm done with this. I was in the ER on 10/19/2023. They billed me on 11/22/2023. I just got the bill in the mail last week and I paid them on Sunday 12/3/2023. Today is Friday 12/08/2023.

When I tell you their CCU is horrific, they are a nightmare. The nurses don't want to do their jobs! They have disgusting attitudes including some of the doctors! EVERYONE that came in to see my family member stated that they had nasty attitudes. We ask questions they never have a straight answer or its a totally different answer the more questions we ask. The family has to be the patients advocate, if they are not able to speak for themselves. If they cant or refuse to understand they need to find another career field. They were agitated by the simplest things. It seems as if they were trying to do a procedure without consent. If you don't have a genuine heart to help people, GET OUT OF THE MEDICINE BUSINESS! I believe they may be harming my family member! What if it were your family member? We are already stressed enough and they just added to the stress. They're suppose to relieve a little stress not add to it. I pray for HELP! GENUINE HELP! YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW! HF, we need YOU!

I’ve experienced morning & night staff…Morning experience was okay didn’t take too long but the staff was caring and very attentive compared to the night staff. If you don’t wanna work stay at home. I had a horrible encounter tonight with the front desk clerk name Shannon(African American woman) i am as well so this isn’t about race she was just flat out rude her and the security guards were laughing and talking to each other when we walked in we stood there for at least 5 minutes before the security guard moved from in front of the window so i walk up to sign my sick sister that just had 3 seizures on the way there she just tapped the clipboard and said fill this out then stated ID and insurance also with an rude attitude it’s ridiculous that this has happened multiple times before something is done when we come into the emergency room we are already stressed about the situation but having unprofessional staff makes the visit worse!

My husband was on the 2nd floor for 4 days in July 2023. The care was good, staff was friendly and Dr.Rao was great! The rooms are dated which isn't a big deal. However,on Saturday when my husband had visitors, one of them saw dried blood on the floor in front of the 2nd floor elevators and going down the hall. It was reported. Next day when I visited,it was still there. Monday,it was still there. I reported it. Tuesday afternoon when we left,it was STILL there! There isn't ANY excuse for this!

I arrived at St Vincent’s w/an acute case of “Heavy Metal Poisoning” due to a rejected implant, the ER doctor refused to even see me saying that I didn’t “fit the criteria” I ended up needing surgery which I attained from another hospital. THEN they kept sending me bills, when I challenged it the hospital said that “my records” from that night said the doctor treated me for DEPRESSION & the bill is valid/I’ve reported them to every agency I can now I may need to PAY for an attorney/DONT RISK IT

Just very unorganized at the front desk and waiting room staff. I arrived 15 minutes early and was ignored by a black lady at the desk. I showed her my orange paper for surgery and in a hateful tone, was told to go around the corner, take elevator to the 2nd floor and walk down the hall. No further instructions and almost got lost and had to ask for help twice. Arrive at surgery check-in and no one there. Waited 5 minutes for someone to show up. I was told to sit down and wait. While in pre-op, a nurse Katina was okay, but certainly not friendly. I waited here for 2 hours and during that wait, the room across from me was a disposal room and someone opened the door and it stunk so bad I almost threw up. I paged the nurse and she just blew me off, saying the smell will go away. My bed was broken and was hard to push, which caused me pain to jerk and start. Surgery went great as did recovery and 1st physical therapy. Most staff were very professional and helpful, but I will not return to your hospital ever again.

I was scheduled and had a left femoral endarterectomy on Friday, September 29th. My first major surgery. Great Doctor (S.Meadors), great (as far as I remember) surgical team, but wasn’t feeling “stark” sterile in surgical room. My crew in the 2nd floor cv/icu was Fantastic! Robin, Kayla, Justin and Tina were all true and caring angels! My visit/stay was only 24 hours but better than I expected from them! If I have to go back for the other leg one of these days, I want the same crew please! So everything was a 5 star EXCEPT (and I hate to say it) the surgical room gets a 4 for a white glove test! Day 5 Not showing any signs or symptoms of staph

I would not recommend this hospital unless you want to see your loved ones die from lack of care. This is my story. Lack of bathing caused a bedsore the size of a softball that caused my dad to go septic and heart stop 8 times. He was perfectly healthy when he arrived. Bedsores is a classic case of poor care. We asked the nurses to bathe him for five days in a row and they did not. When we became involved to see why the nurses would give such bad care. I was no longer allowed to go inside the hospital. I wasn’t allowed to speak to the administration. Nurses didn’t have time to feed my father on multiple times. If I ask about it, I was told to leave. I was escorted out by the security team and was told I could speak to ministration in the morning, and they will not speak to me. I flew from Paris, France, where I live to take care of my father because of the nursing shortage. Hospital administration wouldn’t speak to me. It was a nightmare situation. The nursing staff has no oversight because in the end, that’s the only person taking care of the patient. The doctors come in for maybe 1 to 2 minutes a day if you’re lucky. In the end, the medical bill was almost $2 million that St. Vincent billed our insurance for this nightmare situation. I wouldn’t call it care because that’s not what he got.

Best ER . They have consistently been a great facility. The doctors, nurses, x-ray techs, and whole staff in the ER are awesome, caring, and compassionate. It has even been thay way when I had to have surgery there. They listen to your concerns and go above and beyond. I can't thank them enough. I highly recommend them if you need a hospital for anything.. Keep up the amazing work you do!!!!

We arrived at ER around 11 pm and greeted by pleasant staff. Our wait time to get checked in was only 5 minutes. I was called back to see a doctor within 10 minutes. I received an X-ray within 20 minutes and was seen and released by a very nice doctor in another 15 minutes. Super surprised at how quickly it all went!

After waiting 45 minutes for transport,
a special thank you to 2nd floor nurses station clerk, Christine, for finding a wheelchair and personally taking us down. She waited until we could bring the car around and did so with such a good attitude.
We had a 4-hour drive back to Texas and were very apprehensive about getting out of Little Rock before Friday evening rush-hour traffic started. We appreciate your extra effort. Be Blessed! Jo Ann Farley RM 417

I read the reviews before going to my appointments and I was upset by what I read. In my head I was thinking, this is going to be bad. I am very pleased to report that I had three different appointments and it all went very smoothly. I was seen for two appointments quickly and my wait time was no more than five minutes. I did not even have time to sit for one and the head of the department came to get me and administered the test. He also walked me to the last appointment and they were very kind and accommodating to me. The receptionist at the front desk where you check in has been nothing but sweet and some of my questions was not in her arena but she made sure to call and find the answer. My food was very good and my fears were squashed by the excellent care I received.
