Terrible service. I've been very ill from trauma to my skull. l went twice to emergency waiting for a CT scan they said they would do for me. I waited three hours both times and all they did was take other people ahead of me I felt so bad like my life really didn't matter to those doctors there in emergency. Wow,!!! What a bad experience.seriously terrible hospital, I'll hever go there again.

So thankful to be in their company on 03/22/2023!!!

I noticed the ratio of Nurses and Patients is not respected, the RNs and CNAs are given too many patients so the quality of care lacks seriously

Personally I can say I don’t really care to much for Dignity hospital. When I went there the process is pretty fast at first I guess when u get through the first when they ask you why you are there. But then it can get pretty slow. I personally didn’t like how they are very loud when it comes to your personal questions they ask you about u being there. And there only solution is giving you ibuprofen.

I was very grateful at first when my fiancé was there for an urgent back surgery that saved his life. Had the best back surgern possible. Nurses allowed me to stay and help him until he was discharged. But even then now that I can reflect on the night after his back surgery. We experienced no doctor to be found on the floor to help the nurses manage the unplanned pain my fiancé was having from his back surgery. Then finally a doctor came and was kinda mocking my fiancé and telling him he was doing his best and it wasn’t his fault for not being able to give him more pain medicine due it not being part of his planned pain management by the surgeon. I just remember this being a scarred moment for me to remember the pain in my fiancés eyes and how the doctor didn’t believe the pain he was in.
Lastly, unfortunately because my fiancé was then diagnosed with cancer, and that’s where his current insurance would have him go when Torrance Memorial hospital was full. We experienced a night where the head of the floor nurse that night would not allow me to stay with my fiancé because of the visitor hours. The way she demanded me to leave and spoke to my fiancé because according to her it was for my safety I couldn’t stay. When I was concerned about leaving my fiancé because I noticed how short staffed they were and how they were paying attention to another lady across the room who was yelling the entire time holistically. We were both very stressed with his condition and the way she spoke to him as if he was very inconsiderate when we have come from other hospitals that allowed me to stay with him and even they have allowed me to stay at California hospital before. Really brakes my heart to remember how my fiancé was already going through a lot. He did not deserve that. Then she calls the security on me like I’m some type of criminal, according to her we were giving her attitude. When we were just asking to please give us some accommodations for the night since he was mentally stressed with the situation. Her just adding more stress to his condition. When we have never had any problem with any other charge Nurse.
Every other nurse there had already met us, and were really nice to us, when I was was allowed to stay before. It was just a terrible night at California hospital. I left crying and my fiancé torn because she had security escort me out. It was horrible. I will never forget the way they separated us in the most hardest times in our life’s just because of their visitation policies when we have had accommodations before.
I just don’t recommend California hospital, only some nurses and some drs will we forever be grateful for. But they need better policies and Drs to be reachable at night. If not they have the worse service ever and patient care ever.

I just want to say I have had such an amazing experience at california hospital. I was admitted on Thursday for an induction, which was already terrifying. My nurses rumy and Wendy Lynn who were THE BEST NURSES IVE EVER HAD! they continuously checked in on me and answered all my questions and new when I needed medication for pain. I didn’t even ask and they saw how distress I was and immediately put me in labor and delivery for my epidural which I’m grateful for that. My contractions were coming every 2 minutes stronger than ever. When I first arrived my nurse who assisted in my induction left me with two other nurses and I truly apologize I forgot your name, it was probably that I delivered my son within the hour and had a lot going on. My anesthesiologist was an older Asian lady and she did a FANTASTIC job. I was going through the upmost worst pain and she made getting my epidural fast and painless. I have never had a doctor deliver me before it’s usually the nurses and the doctor comes at the end. This time was completely different I had Dr. Strindberg, who I honestly felt took his time and felt like someone took care of me. I also had an NP Felicia who did my post partum care and she taught a mommy and me class that my partner and I both attended and recieved a lot of information. I never felt comfortable leaving a hospital so confident that me and my baby got the best care, making me not call the pediatrician or my OB right away because the hospital staff answered all my questions. I honestly did not expect the support I was going to have after having my baby. The nurses were really attentive and they were understanding the l ration consultant Andrea and Natalie were there the minute my son came out, literally as I was getting seen they came in and we’re making sure the baby was able to latch and answered any questions I had, they even gave me referrals since my son was tongue tied. If I was planning another kid, I would definitely deliver here. I honestly thought Kaiser was the best hospital to deliver since I delivered there with my first son, but after this entire experience I’m really glad I had my baby there! My husband and I are very grateful, thank you!!
