They have so much snack foods!! They had the melon drink and I think a cucumber drink that I need to try next time. They also have rice and ulam. There was plenty of seating outside and a gentleman who regularly cleans the grills. The public restroom was alright. Needed toilet seat covers and the floor was wet. But all the different kinds of food were yummy

Super great spot for skewers and casual night outs with friends! Food & drinks were amazing! Can’t go wrong with the price as each skewer was $1.25! This place is a must try if you haven’t already!

Can get a bit hectic with parking and finding a grill for your skewers but other than that I think the place is great and fills a need for Filipinos who miss home. Sadly, there weren’t any chicken isaw when we went but all is well. Would love to have a branch in Toronto!

Located in the heart of LA, the unassuming Dollar Hits offers a taste of Filipino BBQ that's hard to find anywhere else.

The first thing to note is that the shop is quite busy, so it's best to be patient and be prepared to share grills with strangers. But trust me, it's worth it. Once inside, you'll be greeted by a friendly lola who will help you build your order. The menu is simple - all you need to do is pick your skewers from the wide variety of options available. And the best part? Each skewer is priced at just one dollar. Once you've made your selection, you can take your plate of skewers outside to the grilling area, where you can cook your meat to your liking.

This communal grilling experience is truly unique, and it's a great way to connect with others over some delicious food. The skewers themselves are the star of the show at Dollar Hits. The meat is tender and flavorful, with just the right amount of seasoning. And if you're feeling adventurous, there are plenty of unique options to choose from - everything from pork belly to chicken feet. But don't worry, even if you're not feeling adventurous, there are plenty of classic options to choose from as well. Overall, Dollar Hits is a must-visit for anyone looking for a truly unique and delicious dining experience. The prices are unbeatable, the atmosphere is lively, and the food is absolutely delicious. Just be prepared to wait in line and share grills with strangers - it's all part of the experience.

The food they got here are nostalgic for me since I spent some of my childhood in the Philippines. They also have something called "scramble" or "scrumble" which is a type of shaved ice that has marsh mallows, chocolate fudge, and milk powder. Not sure where the name originated from but it brings back my childhood when I tasted it. I haven't had it for atleast 25 years.

Had the two entree combo and it was real decent. The pork belly was just as it should be and the adobo was fuego. Portions were more than adequate. Bonus points for the plastic chairs for outside dining, definitely made me feel like I was overseas again.

Edit:
It's not a dollar anymore for a barbeque skewer but instead $1.50 but still offers the same food we had the last time we had visited Hollywood before the pandemic. The variety of foods are much larger and there are so much items to choose from. It is a bit expensive but worth the money for the experience to grill your own food. Staffs are friendly and they make you feel welcome. We will be back again whenever we are in Hollywood.
