Nashville, at The Avenue, 2615 Medical Center Pkwy #640, Murfreesboro, TN 37129

In the vibrant open-air atmosphere of The Avenue, the Thomas Kinkade Gallery (Suite #640) offers a sensory retreat from the retail rush. This isn't just a shop; it is a Signature Gallery—one of the few family-owned establishments in Tennessee authorized to house the largest collection of limited-edition Kinkade canvases in the state.

Known as the "Painter of Light," Kinkade’s work is famously interactive here, designed to be viewed under specific gallery lighting that reveals the "glow" hidden within the paint

The Murfreesboro "Light" Experience

The Disney & Pop Culture Vault: While many know Kinkade for his cozy cottages, this gallery is a premier destination for the Disney Dreams Collection. You’ll find massive, detail-rich canvases featuring everything from Cinderella to Star Wars and Harry Potter, often featuring "hidden" characters tucked away in the brushwork.

Master Highlighting Events: Periodically, the gallery hosts "Master Highlighters"—trained artists who use the same techniques as Kinkade to add actual oil paint and dimension to a canvas right in front of you, turning a print into a unique, one-of-a-kind original.

The "Secondary Market" Experts: Looking for a rare, sold-out piece from the 1990s? The staff here, led by longtime art consultants like Dennis and Cheryl, specializes in hunting down "vaulted" treasures from the secondary market that are no longer available from the publisher.

Heirloom Consulting: They don't just sell art; they manage legacies. The gallery provides annual "Value Statements" for collectors, ensuring your investment is documented for insurance purposes—a rare service for a retail art space

Why Visit "The Avenue" Location?

Situated at 2615 Medical Center Pkwy, the gallery is designed to be a "Zen vortex." The staff is known for a "no-pressure" philosophy, encouraging visitors to sit in their viewing area and simply let the eyes adjust to the artwork. It’s a favorite stop for locals looking for high-end gifts, ranging from $50 licensed collectibles to $10,000 museum-quality canvases.

Poor customer service. Save your money and buy online direct from Thomas Kinkade Studios official page. I ended up saving over $500 that could have gone to Murfreesboro and supported a small business... instead, the Murfreesboro gallery wanted to choose greed over customer service.

Thomas Kinkade painting collector for over 25 years here, purchased from Kinkade galleries in Birmingham, Savannah, and more. Was passing through today (12/12/25) and interested in purchasing two pieces in store, over $3,000. Asked what the best deal they could do on purchasing two pieces, was told that no specials on art were going on currently -- said we missed it by just a few days and no fine artwork discounts were offered unless they were authorized by Thomas Kinkade Studios.

The clerk called the owner, Dennis, to check (both clerk and owner had perturbed "tones" and we heard the owner on the phone tell the clerk that no discounts were given -- only no sales tax for out of state orders -- and that's how the Gatlinburg gallery was shut down, that the Gatlinburg gallery violated a discount policy, but that Murfreesboro offered free master highlighting with paintings... that's never been a perk with our Kinkade art purchases, it's always been included with the piece purchased at every gallery we've done business at.

The clerk said that Thomas Kinkade Studios controls the discounts and the Murfreesboro gallery offers competitive pricing.

If that's the case, why is Thomas Kinkade Studios offering a 20% sale currently (as of 12/12/25) on its official art page online? -- See the attached screenshot -- That info should've been shared with us in store since supposedly discounts are managed from the top down by Thomas Kinkade Studios.

And why is the same exact artwork in edition, size, and frame type cheaper on the Thomas Kinkade Studios site than the in store gallery price? Yes, I immediately checked online, entered the code as if I were going to purchase the piece and the 20% discount was taken off at checkout online. Why wasn't this discount offered in store at Murfreesboro when we were in there as it was an officially sanctioned discount on a purchase price that would have been eligible? A savings of over $500!

Because of this experience, we never patronize this gallery.
