- Had a run of bad luck, and my truck, wife's car, and our back-up vehicle, which isn't always reliable anyways, all had issues and didn't run. Luckily the airport location was open late, as both my wife and I worked at the next day, and we were able to get a car. The shop needed my truck one more day and we needed to extend the rental. It was incredibly easy to do so btw, and upon our check-in, this absolute rock star that works there named Cameron, was able to find me an additional discount after hearing about my run of luck. Thank you Avis!

- Super easy pick up and drop off experience, despite a high-traffic week in Palm Springs. Car was in the first parking spot after leaving the terminal so didn't have to walk far (lot very accessible for all customers). No "walk-around" to check for damage like other car rentals (FOX). Price I paid was price I was quoted (unlike recent FOX rental). Car was in excellent condition and was a nice vehicle for the price (Honda Accord for $57/day all in with discount code).

I guess I got lucky with the timing, because I was literally the only customer there checking in in the middle of the afternoon on a Tuesday. The car itself was okay, and the employees I interacted with were professional. There was no delay in returning the car either. I'd consider using them again next time I'm flying down.

Check in at the Avis counter was quick and the car was ready and as advertised. Checking the car in at the Palm Springs airport couldn’t have been easier; took all of two minutes.

Staff was super friendly, car was very clean and nice pick up and drop off was super easy. Picked up at airport and dropped off at airport. Super easy - price of vehicle was great. Actually received a larger vehicle than was expecting so that was awesome. Wanted to note this was my first time renting a car - we landed around 11:30 am on a Saturday and we had our car and were on the road by noon. I feel this was great service for any car rental line. Again staff was very friendly and super helpful for a first time renter. Thank you Avis for making my first experience so great!

My Avis Palm Springs Airport review has everything to do with the attitude of Eric, our check-in agent #07596. Eric was not at all friendly, but completely dismissive, bordering on rude during our entire interaction. When I asked for a receipt, his response was "We don't provide one, only email". Then he turned his back on me. I quickly explained why I wanted a receipt, that in a previous PSP rental with Hertz I didn't ask for one and later Hertz came after me claiming that I had never returned their car. (It was a very disturbing situation where Hertz threatened further action by reporting I had stolen their car stolen when it had been returned on time to PSP and immediately re-rented to another customer before I boarded my flight home.) Eric looked over his shoulder and shot back at me saying, "Well, that was another company, not us." and then turned his back and walked away to deal with the next check-in. At that point, it was clear that I didn't matter to him or Avis. In case you don't realize this, but CUSTOMERS really care about being treated kindly, with a pleasant attitude. Employees with a less than friendly attitude make a big impression. Eric #07596 was that employee.
