San Diego International Airport

The three stars are only because this is my first time at this airport so it was quite confusing due to the construction but either than that the customer service and the people here are really friendly I will be using this airport again. That way I can compare and contrast thank you everybody enjoy your flights safe travels...

My family and I tried to park at the San Diego International Airport parking lot after waiting in a line of cars. Once we got to the entrance we were told it was full and that we needed a reservation to park there, but there were signs before this saying “800 open parking spaces”. Basically we were forced to leave without finding a spot and had to pay anyways, even though we were only there for 11 minutes because it was so backed up. We understand that they were busy but the service was terrible, stressful, and completely unhelpful.

Laptop stolen from luggage. Everyone blaming everyone else. If theft is such a blatant problem with your airport, how do you not have basic measures to stop it? They don't care.

Southwest terminal is dated and once inside TEA, there are limited food and seating options. 2023

There is a lot of remodeling going on, but overall, it's pretty clean

San Diego's airport is awful, its overcrowded and if you land at gate 11-18 and your connecting flight goes out of a gate not in that range you have the exit security then go back through it so if you purchased something to drink you have to discard or chug it but in either case its definitely not worth going through this airport, we vill from this point forward use other airports

Never any issues,flew out Thanksgiving morning to Oakland on Southwest, pre TSA .No waiting at all.Pre checked
my carry on ,was a full flight, can't believe that on Southwest .

Make sure you know your gate. You can easily make a mistake and stand in a long line.

Not designed or equipped for the amount of flights and people that come through. Often have no seats at gates. Very crowded and long lines. Security is hit and miss. They need to move the airport to a space that can handle all the driving and flying traffic.

Overall a good airport , but it need organization, as of 2023 air port is under constriction and its a night mare. Terminal 1 parking is closed .
