The Consular Section of the Embassy is open to the public Monday through Thursday, except on selected Moldovan Holidays (see below):

3 PM-5PM (EST) Documents issuance.
Please note that you are required to schedule an appointment for all consular services (except: emergency travel documents).
Appointments are made ONLY via government programming portal by accessing e-Programări (gov.md)
IMPORTANT: TO SUBMIT THE APPLICATION FOR A NEW PASSPORT, THE MOLDOVAN ID MUST BE VALID. IF YOUR MOLDOVAN ID IS EXPIRED, LOST, DAMAGED, CANCELED OR UNVALID YOU MUST MAKE SEPARATE APPOINTMENT MOLDOVAN ID.
NOTICE: Notary documents and ETD will be issued from 3pm to 5pm, only if the applications will be submitted in between 09 am and 1 pm on the same day.
II. CONSULAR INQUIRIES
Consular Section recommend to send consular enquiries by email at: [email protected] (because of large flow of requests, an answer is provided within 3 working days). III. EMERGENCY PHONE LINE
Emergency phone line: +1 (202) 390 03 92 - NO consular information or scheduling are provided on this phone number. The line is intended exclusively for citizens of the Republic of Moldova who are facing with, special emergency situation (accidents with victims, deaths, calamities and other dangerous or extraordinary situations).
IV.RECOMMENDATIONS
In order to reduce the waiting time at the Consular Section, Embassy recommends:
1. to have in your possession all the necessary papers for chosen consular service;
2. to avoid the accompaniment of relatives or friends who do not intend to request consular services;
3. For consular services which are provided by post, Consular Section does not accept Fedex prepaid envelopes.
V.IMPORTANT SECURITY NOTICE FOR VISITORS
For security reasons cell phones, laptops, tablets and similar electronic devices are not allowed to be brought into the premises of the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova. Visitors carrying unauthorized objects will not be granted entry.

Consular services are not provided on the following days:

7th and 8th January - The Birth of Jesus Christ (Christmas);
March 8 - International Women's Day;
the first and second Easter days according to the church calendar (Christian Orthodox);
the second Monday after the Easter;
May 1 - International Labor Day (Solidarity Day);
May 9 - Victory Day and the Remembrance of Fallen Heroes;
August 27 - Independence Day of the Republic of Moldova;
August 31 - Holiday"Our Romanian Language";
December 25 - The Birth of Jesus Christ (Christmas) - New Style;
Days during which consular services are provided in other locations (the "Embassy comes closer to you" program).
