The renewal process merely took 10 mins. Super fast. Even though I had 1 pm appointment, I reached at around 12 pm and had eth completed by 12:10. All staffs were kind and helpful. Spent the rest visiting DC.

I was surprised to see how the other Nepalese people were acting there. In the main hall which is supposed to be a quiet area, people would gossip very loudly not respecting the Embassy. There were a lot of people who came after us but they would always try to get their work done through someone else like in Nepal. The staff is friendly and efficient but I was ashamed of my nationality after seeing other Nepali people behave. It is easy and quick to get anything done at the Embassy but people would waste the time by asking stupid questions that is already in the website all the time. I do not understand why people would act so uncivilized like that in the Embassy, always complaining and finding easy ways. If you are visiting next time, please be understanding.

Ok, this review is entirely just for someone who wants to renew their passport and can’t get ahold of the office (as you’re wasting your time just calling cause no body’s gonna pick up) and is just confused as like me.

Number 1: Tapai haru website ma deko number ma call nagarey pani huncha, tyaha side-bar ma gayera, contacts ma gayera different officials haru ko number ma call garyo vane chai direct kasai sanga kura garna sakincha ki k garney and kasari garney vanera.

Number 2: Online form fill up garnu parcha tara 1st ma aafno phone ko timezone Nepal ko timezone ma change garnu parcha ani matra appointment book garna sakincha. Online form fill up garda doesn’t matter if you’re here; sabai details (address dekhi liyera phone number sabai) Nepal kai hunuparcha. Yaha ko address and number matter gardaina.

Number 3: Embassy Jana lai appointment wait garnu pardaina. You can also just walk in there. Aafno passport ani Nagarikta liyera janu hola or they also accept photocopies.

Number 4: They accept Credit card ani Debit Card so Money order hunai parcha vanney chaina.

I am still giving 4 stars because people were helpful and I walked there without knowing any of these or having an appointment.

I have been calling the embassy everyday for a month now, no one picks up the call. There is no appointment for passport renewal for any day of any month, how is anyone supposed to proceed with this? Very frustrating experience.
