Нью-Йорк отменяет парад Святого Патрика

Нью-Йорк стал последним американским городом, который отменил свой парад в честь дня Святого Патрика, впервые с тех пор, как парад начался в 1762 году.


Это произошло в след за отменами в главных городах США, включая  Чикаго  и  Бостон , а также  в городах Ирландии.


Выступая  незадолго до объявления об отмене, мэр  Билл де Блазио  сказал, что, хотя это «любимое событие, важное событие» и что «тяжело говорить, что это нужно немедленно отменить»
