"Если председатель Ким выберет правильный путь, то у северокорейского народа есть шанс на мирное и процветающее будущее. Если КНДР предпримет смелые шаги в сторону скорой денуклеаризации, Соединенные Штаты готовы работать с ней, чтобы помочь ее народу достичь такого же процветания, какого достигли южнокорейские друзья", - заявил глава госдепа США.
Ранее на этой неделе состоялся визит Помпео в Пхеньян. На родину госсекретарь вернулся с тремя американцами, освобожденными из тюрьмы по личному распоряжению северокорейского лидера. Встреча Дональда Трампа и Ким Чен Ына пройдет 12-го июня в Сингапуре. Эту страну выбрали за ее расположение, безопасность и нейтральный статус.
