TOP important and interesting reviews from patients

I was recently inpatient after a procedure from the time I walked in the hospital asking for directions everyone was extremely helpful. The Nurse staff that attended to me was so kind and gentle. It’s been a very long time since I’ve had to stay in the hospital and they exceeded my expectation. Every shift change each nurse and tech was so nice and accommodating. They really made my experience less stressful.

I have been coming here for my nursing school clinical rotations for the past 6 months, and the 6E Northside employees are amazing!! All the nurses and the techs are very competent, skilled, and caring. They all treat their patients with such respect, care, and dignity. They are also great teachers, not only to nursing students but to patients. Chana, Jennifer, Ben, Atina, Adisha, Jenn, Kalawe, Erika, Felicia, Teo, and Catherine, are just some of the amazing people I've gotten the opportunity to learn from. Honestly this whole unit deserves a round of applause. Northside hospital is amazing as well, it is the only hospital I go to for my health problems and I reccomend all my family and friends to go to Northside too. I really wish you guys would add a mental health unit, so I can work there because I am passionate about mental health.

My clinical instructor, Deanna Singh, is the clinical development specialist of the oncology unit, and she is the best teacher anyone could ever ask for!

I had major surgery at Northside Hospital recently, and I cannot say one negative thing about this facility. The staff at this hospital was nothing short of professional, from security to the operating room. I never once felt the need for anything. Five stars for the staff at Northside, thank you for making my stay comfortable.

The staff at the hospital were fine and helpful but the billing department at this hospital is RIDICULOUS. We had 8 different providers to pay for my husbands back issues. 7 of those set up payment plans for me no questions asked. These a-holes are so rude and wouldn't let me pay monthly. They expected me to pull almost $3,000 from nowhere. And the financial aide departments is set up for people to fail. No matter how much I turned in they asked for more documents. I paid what i could every month and after 3 payments they sent me to a collections agency. We will never have service at this hospital again. I'm appalled at how we've been treated. The collections agent even commented on how harsh they were and he couldn't believe we were sent to collections after 3 months. Disgusting elitist behavior and I am sure there's a fat cat sitting at the top with a private plane and 4 mansions while normal people get sent straight to collections for not paying the full amount.

I am writing this review to comment on my experience with the billing department manager at north side hospital, Ms.Thomas. I recently visited one of the offices at the hospital, where I was NOT notified about the provider bring out of network. I spoke with Ms Thomas and she assured me that she would rectify the issue. She also told me not to answer the calls from north side hospital because she is handling it. Unfortunately, she did not handle the manner and my bill was sent to collections. I have tried to contact her on multiple occasions, which have all been unsuccessful. As a 62 year old man with no experience with a situation like this, I put my trust in her when she told me she would fix this. Now I feel that I was misled and taken advantage of. I have been put into a misfortune situation due to her misguidance.

If I could give it, zero stars, I would. The ED department is the most incompetent I have ever experienced in the entire world. I was literally dying and they did nothing to help me, despite my screams, convulsions, unconsciousness and begging for help for hours. After I was rushed into emergency surgery, after begging for help for hours, I had more of my small bowel removed, even though I don’t have very much left to begin with. This has been the hardest year of my life, both mentally and physically. The ED department treated me inhumanely and purposely wrote false information in my medical record. I even passed out from the pain face first onto the emergency room and they still did nothing to help me. This was all captured on their video surveillance system. My husband and I are scarred for life and we got out of Atlanta as soon as we could move to another state where we knew we would get prompt medical attention concerning my chronic illness. The sad part is Georgia has so much protection from malpractice, I will not receive any due diligence. Terrifying.

Wendy was our nurse and I can say they are leaps and hips beyond any nurse you’ll find at any other hospital. We rebooked with them even knowing it is 2 hours drive away. I can’t not believe I thought that I would just have to deal with condescending nurses and doctors like it was normal. This by far was the best doctor appointment we have EVER HAD! That’s coming from someone that avidly hates hospitals and anything related to them. Ms Wendy in fetal medicine needs the biggest raise for her informative and gentle nature that has yet to beat in 24 years of my existence. Staff was overly friendly and just over all the most relaxed we’ve been in years at a hospital.

I had the absolute best experience at this Atlanta/Sandy Springs location! The security attendants were respectful, the staff at the ER registration were patient and attentive, the Physician's Assistant, Lee, was knowledgeable and respectful; and he was also very thorough with his thought process and approach using differential diagnosis. Then there was Vernesse ("Ness")--she was my Registered Nurse and she was absolutely fantastic! She was knowledgeable, gentle, had wonderful bedside manner, and took her time askimg questions and explainimg the process! She took great care of me! I could not have asked for better care!

This is why people dislike emergency rooms. I arrived around 12:10 a.m. My BP was 181/101 when they checked it the 1st time, & 189/90 when they checked the second time. If I go to an emergency room, I am in need immediate attention.
I was informed to lay on one of the beds up front for testing. They neglected to change the sheet after the previous 1 or 5 patients before me, and there was loose hair and blood stains on the sheet. That was the most unsanitary thing I have EVER seen at a hospital. I could have been sleeping in my comfortable bed & gotten up to go to Urgent Care. Instead, I sat looking at the waiting room full of sleeping patients. It was close to 6 a.m. when I had them remove the needle from my arm before I left. What a waste of time…..I don’t know what the nurse did to my vein, but I have NEVER hemorrhaged that heavily after having a needle removed from my arm. It was very alarming.
I should have read the reviews before going there. I have to work a 10 hour shift today. What are they doing with our money, paying staff members to play on their phones & ignore you, as you’re standing at their window? This particular nurse, did not look up until her co-worker came and offered assistance.
THIS IS THE WORST HOSPITAL I HAVE EVER BEEN TO!! THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!!!!!!
ZERO STARS

I went in for a procedure to to an erupted implant being I am a breast cancer survivor one of the implants was leaking. I went in on a Friday recently not only did they not give me extended stay as I had asked for they instead let me go after an hour of surgery I also have implants lower and upper dentures now tell me would you give something like that to a patient, that is incoherent? I didn't remember getting home or getting dressed in the hospital they lied and one nurse claims in front of my witnesses that she put the upper and lowers in my mouth we all know that is negligent then recanted the story and said oh no I put the uppers in a jar and handed it to me but yet I don't even remember waking up they called my husband to come pick me up and they told him they needed him to come as quick as possible because they wanted to leave early because it was a Friday their words quote on quote I felt like I was treated like an animal so to Me that says alot about their reputation they don't care I have been in more hospitals and never had such a bad experience as far as implants I'm not impressed at all so ladies becareful here trust me when I tell you this place looks like a place of zen but trust me when I tell you I have been fighting with them for a week and I only have been home for a week so instead of making a resolution they gave me the run around and not having the time to heal

The birth certificate department at northside hospital is horrible the put the wrong address on my documents, my daughter is almost 5 months olds and I’m still trying to obtain her birth certificate and social security card. The lady at the desk is rude and lacks customer service and support.

Have received excellent care at Northside, more specifically at the perinatal unit. Felt well taken care of from nurses and doctors as well as general hospital staff.
