Best Buy Hoover

The best and largest Best Buy I have been to! The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Store has awesome deals on the greatest and latest tech!

Great place but a lot of shelves were empty

They had what I was looking for. Had a great experience.

This Best Buy has the worst customer service of any in the greater Birmingham area. There have been numerous times that I've been kept waiting way too long for something simple, which I almost always chalk up to being understaffed. That's fine. But today, I was in the SSD section for over 45 minutes and still never got any help. I waited in the aisle for around 10 minutes, then went to the electronics desk and waited for about 10 minutes, then went back to the aisle and back to the counter numerous times, (with seemingly no employees anywhere on that side of the store) until finally someone appeared and asked if I was being helped. I said no and that I needed an SSD out of the case, then he took a minute and said he'd get a key. I went back to the aisle and waited another 5 - 10 minutes and he never showed up, so I went to the front counter, waited in line to speak to the one person they had up there and told him I needed someone to unlock the SSD case so I could get one. He said he'd radio over and when someone freed up they'd be over there. I went back over to the SSD aisle and waited another 5 - 10 minutes and still was left there completely ignored. I got fed up so I left, drove all the way over to the 280 location, and was helped and checked out within 5 minutes. Like I said before, this isn't the only time I've been ignored in this store, but it'll be the last. There's absolutely no reason that at least one employee couldn't just open the case and check me out when it literally takes minutes.

The wonder years of Best Buy are gone thanks to e-commerce. However, there is still some benefit in having these stores. Their inventory seems much thinner these days but their customer service still seems to be good.
