Couldn't visit my grandpa in the emergency room. I drove an hour to get here and then they tell me there is a 2 visitor limit. There is little to no reception in the building so I couldn't even get in contact with who was in there. I called into the room and when I asked about someone leaving she pretended I didn't even talk to her and went mhm mhm and hung up. I love hospitals that won't let a grandson see his grandfather in the ER

I have no option but to go to another hospital because I have been seeking a prenatal appointment and everytime I call I am left on hold and forgotten. I am very sad and lost to have to go with a random hospital

A +! After 2 horrible experiences at Cape Cod hospital, a friend drove me to B&W. I have sciatica, but some of my symptoms didn't seem consistent with it. The first nurse I dealt with was great and had a wonderful sense of humor. The doctor asked me all the right questions and she ordered blood work. Turns out I have Lyme disease too. This would have gone unnoticed and untreated by CCH. The B&W doctor is the very best doctor I have been treated by in my entire life. Unfortunately, I can't remember her name. She's obviously of Indian (India, not indigenous people), but she she speaks English clearly. All of the staff did a terrific job and showed genuine concern. I highly recommend this hospital to everyone who needs medical attention.

The cafeteria staff is unfriendly, impolite, and rude. As a guess/customer when asking a question to a member staff, their response is sharp, and disrespectful with an aggressive attitude.

Just looking for an appointment with my doctor. Not sure what the problem is but I'm not going to "call back in December like everybody else." In what job do you talk to customers like that?

Summed up, I was recently notified that my PCP was moving to Brigham and Women's, so I called to become a new patient. Once an agent picked up, I was given attitude and told that "no you are a former patient" of my PCP (yes, aware) and that Steward Medical should apologize for the miscommunication not us (what?).

I received outstanding care today at The Brigham. In the E.D., I was taken care of by a wonderful nurse named Dave who was therapeutic, reassuring, and he quite literally set the standard for bedside manner.
In the day surgery wing, I was tended to with genuinely caring nurses and doctors. My anesthesiologist was even remarkable.
Overall- Brigham and Women’s stood out to me as the best healthcare facility I have ever placed my trust in and I am now a patient for life!

I had to deliver here when my son was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect that needed a serious operation at Boston childrens hospital. My entire stay from the day I was induced until the day I freed myself was a nightmare. I was treated like a prisoner from start to finish. When my husband finally got to the hospital they took hours to send him up to the delivery room leaving me to worry in my vulnerable state for hours. While I was laying almost comatose from pain and anxiety I could hear nurses snickering down the hall and asking the anesthesiologist (who could not give me a proper epidural) to ask me about my body hair (something that had nothing to do with me or the babies health but was rather the nurses way of playing a cruel prank on a vulnerable mother. When I was finally ready to push an entire room of medical students were ushered in to watch me and at no time was I asked if this was ok I would have much preferred a quiet and private birth. Afterwards while I recovered I was pressured into giving my son up for adoption and had to tell the lady on the phone that I wanted to keep my baby. Nurses would barge into the room without knocking quietly first while I was exhausted and trying to rest. One nurse treated me like a drug addict for bringing in my own ibuprofen (probably because they missed out on billing me hundreds of dollars for an ibuprofen pill) and questioned me over wanting to go outside for some fresh air after having been in a stuffy hospital for over 48 hours without being able to walk. My legs were swollen but got better each day. When I was finally feeling mostly better and some of the swelling had gone down I was ready to go home. Not just one but multiple OB's and Nurses told me my chance of a pulmonary embolism was far too high for them to let me leave but at this point I was done with being abused and treated like garbage so I told them I didn't care about the risk and signed myself out of there. The swelling went down completely within two weeks and I'm not dead yet after three years. Please do not deliver here even if you need to deliver a baby who needs surgical care ask to give birth at any other hospital preferably NOT a teaching one.

During my dad's ICU stay at Brigham and Women's Hospital, the nurses provided outstanding care. They kept us informed and made us feel safe throughout a traumatic time for our family. The level of expertise, compassion, and seamless coordination between day and night shifts was remarkable.

My family and I will be forever grateful for Nurse Bryan, Katie, Kayla, and Lauren from Unit 3B.

If I could I would give it -100 stars! Worst hospital and organization ever. Was diagnosed with Lupus and trying to get my prescriptions renewed has been an absolute nightmare that I have gone weeks and months without prescriptions so then leaving me going to the emergency room. Dr. Gedmentas and her horrible staff. Stay clear of them. They only want to kill you you’re just a number. Because I voiced and demanded my prescriptions and better care. They are now kicking me out of their care and I am no longer having a doctor leaving me to be dead.
