Last February I was shopping for pickles and wine and ran across a friend from middle school. It was so great to see José and talk about his new career in garbage technology. This is truly the place to be. Oh and try their jerk style plantain chips you, won’t be disappointed! TJ gang for life
- Might be a little difficult to get to but worth it. It’s a smaller store than the one in Meridian but they keep it stocked with all of the favorites.
- Good location and good selection of food but still missing many items that you can find in other supermarkets.
- As a cultural icon and purveyor of an eclectic mix of foods with a good wine selection, Trader Joe’s is great. As an actual grocery store to feed a family for a week, not so much. They have quite a few items you can’t find anywhere else, and they are delicious, but it’s really just a once-in-while stock up on things you can’t get elsewhere. Which is a good thing, because parking is intentionally terrible, the store is always packed and you fear for your life getting in and out of the lot as it’s on the corner of two very busy one-way 4-lane roads. But the bamba puffs make it all worth the trip…when they have them.
