- Second time at a hibachi steakhouse, this one has been my favorite experience so far. A friend recommended that we go to lunch here because it's the only one she will go to in town. Steak and chicken were amazing, green tea was smooth and earthy, the ginger dressing on the side salad alone would bring me back. Great cook, very friendly, waitress was kind, service was fast even though we came in right as they had a lunch rush.
- Their rating was already at 2.5 but had to give them the benefit of the doubt. Food was great but honestly the prices are too high. I’m new to the area and was wanting to try out other Hibachi places. Dinner for 2 costs $90+ (when normally, we only pay $40-60)
The waiting time just to get seated was disappointing (no one else was on the line and the restaurant was not full either). Approximately waited around 8-10mins (we were about to head out and look somewhere else to eat when the hostess showed up) Our waitress was really nice and quick though. I do think they can do better but for now, I would probably look somewhere else to eat where they are more reasonable when it comes to their food prices.
- We are vegan and were very impressed with the chef's ability to accommodate our needs! They took the egg out and cooked ours without oil and butter, and assured us their teriyaki isn't made with honey. We ordered dishes with no meat. The waitress let us know that the soup and salad were made with chicken broth and mayo respectively, so they were off limits to us. We were able to find some veggie sushi appetizer options. The chef even cooked our food before the meat eaters' at our shared grillside table so that the freshly cleaned grill wasn't contaminated by the other guests' orders. The sushi was great, everything tasted amazing, and the tofu was awesome in the stir fry, some of the best we ever had! The one issue we had with our visit was that the menu said steamed rice was included, and we got fried rice instead but misread the menu, and didn't realize there was a $3 upcharge for each plate. I'll still order it with the upcharge next time. Our 2 year old screamed his head off at one point but the staff and other restaurant goers didn't give us any fuss!
- The gentleman that came out and prepared our meal was so interactive with my children. They were amazed with the whole process. The meal was also great. We all had the chicken teriyaki so I cannot speak for anything else
- Had never been to this location, and we were in Southridge, so we decided to give it a try. I wasn’t impressed with it at all. First of all, it’s real crammed in there, real loud, and the tables & decor looked cheap. As soon as I saw the raw food the chef brought out, I knew we made a bad choice going here. The seafood and meat looked ragged. The chicken breasts & steaks look like they had been chewed by an animal, and they had the smallest shrimp I’ve ever seen at a Japanese Steakhouse. We couldn’t understand a word the chef was saying. He was all over the place, sloppy, and kept saying the same unintelligible jokes over & over. No joke, like at least 20-25 times. To the point where it was getting awkward. We wondered if he was possibly intoxicated. After about an hour, we finally got to eat. The portions here are definitely below standard. The chef spent so much time babbling and pretending to squirt us with water 87 times that he burned the chicken & rice. My “filet” had a big piece of chewy fat (WHAT?!). He didn’t wipe up the soy sauce he splattered on the table, so the table was a mess. The waitress was real nice though. She was the one thing that was good. Greatly disappointing. I was with my family, and we were celebrating our Christmas since it was postponed due to the weather, so I didn’t want to cause a scene or anything. Forty five dollar meal, and I don’t even drink alcohol! I just paid & left… licking my wounds on the way out, per se lol. Oh well, you live and learn. We should have driven to Fujiyama, and definitely will from now on.
