The service at this location is excellent. Unfortunately we were given a very old car with dangerously worn tyres and 75000 miles on the clock. It felt like no maintenance had been done at all.

I waited for over 1.5 hours to pickup the car and only one person was working the desk. I also did early check in which provided no benefit to me. The car was absolutely disgusting and was never cleaned after the last renter. We found used toothbrushes, cigarette butts, a vape pen, earrings, crumbs, trash and sticky seats throughout. The gas tank was only half filled when we picked up the car. When we dropped off the car they were busy and did not check us out and later added on 6 hours to our trip and an additional $145. This was the worst rental car experience I’ve ever experienced and will never rent with Avis again.

If there was a way to give a negative star review I would. I was charged for a gas refueling fee despite being given a partially charged electric car. It died in route back to the airport. I got zero help from Avis with this experience, charged additional fees for the tow and reported additional days use despite its tow back to an Avis facility before the time of the rental period, and had to pay 200$ for my Uber to get to the airport. Unquestionably the worst travel experience of my entire 30 years of extensive travel.

Overcharged $3500 on the premise that I somehow drove an electric vehicle over 14,000 miles in less than 6 days. The checkout mileage was mistakenly listed as 1 mile when in reality it was over 14k. I drove the vehicle less than 300 miles over 6 days - much less than the allotted 150 miles per day. I’m giving 2 stars because customer service saw the error and said they would refund the charges immediately, however many hours later I still haven’t received the refund email. I fear this will require a 2nd call to the customer service line to get resolved.

So disappointed to have to wait 2 hours in a line of 12 people to get my car. Only 2 agents on duty. Very frustrating after a 6 hour flight

No vehicles available at ORD on December 23. I pre-paid for the rental and have been a preferred member for many years. I called customer service after waiting for an hour and a half and was informed that my options were to wait, cancel the rental, or get a cab to downtown Chicago where cars were available. Seriously questioning if I should continue using Avis in the future.
