TOP important and interesting reviews from patients

I spent several days here following an emergency gallbladder surgery with complications. The nurses were wonderful and helped keep me calm and focused as my body went into shock following surgery. They also let my boyfriend and family stay by my side throughout the experience. When I had to go back to the ER after being discharged they quickly admitted me and got another complication under control before it became a big deal.

Of course no one wants to be sick and scared in the hospital, but they made this experience suck a little less.

I just got home from the ER and would like to commend the ENTIRE staff for take such good and quick care of me. Dr. Parker in the ER was second to none with his compassionate caring demeanor. As much as I was in crisis, this ER Staff got me in, did the procedure and had the utmost respect for me and my situation. Thank you, Mercy West for all you do for me.

Came into the ER with severe stomach pain. Waited about 2.5 hours to be seen, but that's pretty normal for any ER. The nurses immediately ordered blood tests and a CT scan and I was diagnosed with a kidney stone and sent into surgery the next morning. Every employee exceeded my expectations of care, especially Jamie. Jamie is one of the best nurses I've ever had.

Went to the E.R. for an STI and the nurse asked me why I hadn’t figured out what I had from Google. It was bizarre since usually you hear about medical professionals telling patients not to self-diagnose. After treatment I was given a packet with a brief overview of the STI. No one discussed it with me, even though I was visibly crying and upset. I had a follow-up appointment with a male gynecologist at Seven Hills Women’s Health Center (same location). When I asked questions about how I could have contracted the STI while in a committed relationship, he told me “not to place blame.” I just wanted more information about this virus i contracted! I felt shamed for inquiring about my own health.
I will not be returning to Mercy West. The staff needs to be more mindful of their bedside manner. The attitudes I experienced at Mercy perpetuate the stigma associated with the disease, and made this scary experience more traumatic than it needed to be.

First off, my wife needed an accurate eczema diagnosis and we been here at least 6 times over 1 year. Second, she kept getting prescribed 11 different medications she didn't even need, because they screwed up her diagnosis several times by multiple doctors! We have the proof. These are some of the most incompetent retarded type doctors and nurses I have ever seen. I mean every word of that no apology.

Mercy Health the home of an F rating from the BBB. Fires vice president for millions in fraud. Their current CEO John M. Starcher Jr. aka “Lucifer” earns 5.5 million per year. Here’s an example of how this alleged non profit earns their profits. A urinalysis national average cost is less than 50 dollars the bill I received for over 3k and paid but even that wasn’t enough. Now I have a 985 dollar bill that they sent to collections for the same visit. If you don’t have insurance they can defraud. They simply bill you for anything and everything. John M. Starcher Jr. approved way of “helping” patients. But I guess the pat on my leg and saying “ I hope you feel better” was an actual medical treatment. Ask for an itemized bill and they provide the exact same bill listing nothing more. That is how Mercy Health hides its blatant fraud. Profit by any means necessary. I don’t remember that from religion class in fact it was just the opposite. But they just use that moniker as a ploy to enrich themselves.

There are many words I can say for what I had to endure with my friend being diagnosed with throat cancer, advised of one way treatment would go then learned his insurance expired and things quickly changed, he was discharged in poor condition aspiration risk and low bp, they tried to get me to do feedings 5 times a day and I declined like i advised them what they went to school for and learned they could not force me to get comfortable with in 5 minutes training and I knew he should not have been released. Day 3 they did not care they released him, social worker told me to take him to Uc AND advised they have money over there from the government, which she was way out of order for saying. They did not have a true plan of care other than to get a charity 1 to 2 visits and that was not going to be acceptable for the condition my friend was in. Even more he went to UC learned the tube that was placed at Mercy apparently had not been monitoring him and his intestines was dialated and acute bowel obstruction. Just think had I assumed responsibility of just feeding 5 times a day with no monitoring i would have killed my friend, but when i explained to them i was not comfortable with discharge and feeding him i told them then the blood was not going to be on my hands and it is not, it is on Mercy and UC's hands. My friend end up dieing Sept 10, 2023 instead of getting pet scan, a staging, radiation/chemo etc treatment and a shot at life. What is the point of waking up going to a profession to save lives if you have no interest in doing so. I would never want the blood of anyone else on my hands for no reason but some would not care. The nurse and social worker sent a pamplet home to learn the feeding and next day i had to take him to UC, at UC they went behind Mercy's mess and made a bigger mess with supposedly fixing tube, end up having to do to other tubings, collapsed his lung once, infections, then basically stabbed the tumor, cause bleeding and the need to get a trach, oh now then finally gave him and appt with ent on sept 6 and then gave him a month to live, uh and he passed on Sept. 10th. But in the beginning, he was advised treatable. I feel like I am dieing at watching such negligence slip through the cracks and have heard several horror stories of both hospitals. I stay so sick to me stomach daily i have lost 20 lbs from all that occurred. I definitely can afford to lose pounds but this isn't the way.
