The Home Depot Dallas Lemmon Ave #589

Dallas, 6110 Lemmon Ave, Dallas, TX 75209

If you’re living in Oak Lawn, Highland Park, or anywhere near the Love Field area, the Home Depot at 6110 Lemmon Ave is likely your home base for keeping things running. Tucked southwest of the Dallas North Tollway and Mockingbird Lane, it’s one of the most conveniently located big-box stores in the city. Whether you’re a pro contractor heading in before the morning rush or a local resident just trying to find a replacement air filter on a Tuesday night, it’s the kind of place where you’ll always run into a neighbor or two in the paint aisle.

What really sets the Lemmon Avenue branch apart is the "city-smart" service. Because it serves such a mix of older historic homes and modern apartments, the staff here—like Jeff in the paint department or Sigmund in hardware—actually know their stuff. They’ve likely helped a dozen other people on your street solve the same plumbing or electrical quirk you’re facing. The store also features an Expanded Flooring Showroom, making it a go-to destination if you’re planning a serious upgrade to your home’s interior and want to see the options in person before pulling the trigger.

One of the biggest perks of this location is the Tool & Truck Rental Center. We all know that storage space in Dallas isn't always easy to come by, so why buy a giant pressure washer or a floor sander for a one-day project? You can rent professional-grade gear right here and then bring it back when you're done. Plus, if you buy something that definitely won’t fit in your trunk—like a new refrigerator or a pallet of pavers—they have rental trucks on-site to help you get your haul home without needing to borrow a friend's pickup.

The Garden Center is another highlight, especially when the Texas heat starts to break or when it’s time to prep the lawn for spring. It’s where the community goes to find native plants that can actually survive a Dallas summer, along with the right mulch and fertilizers to keep everything looking sharp. If you’re in a hurry, the Curbside Pickup via the Home Depot app is a total game-changer. You just order on your phone, pull into a spot, and the team brings your items right to your vehicle. It’s a busy, reliable hub that has been a staple of the North Dallas community for years.

Business Hours

Monday – Saturday: 6:00 AM – 10:00 PM

Sunday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM (Note: Curbside pickup is generally available from 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM. The Pro Desk and Rental Center often open early at 6:00 AM on weekdays to help early birds get a head start on their projects.)

When The Home Depot was founded in 1978, Bernie Marcus and Arthur Blank had no idea how revolutionary this new “hardware store” would be for home improvement and the retail industry.

Today, we’re proud to be the world’s largest home improvement retailer. In more than 2,300 stores across North America, we aspire to excel in service – to our customers, associates, communities and shareholders. That’s what leadership means to us. That's The Home Depot difference.

Our founders' vision of one-stop shopping for the do-it-yourselfer came to fruition when they opened the first two Home Depot stores on June 22, 1979, in Atlanta, Georgia. The first stores, at around 60,000 square feet each, were cavernous warehouses that dwarfed the competition and stocked 25,000 products, much more than the average hardware store at that time.

Today, The Home Depot is the world's largest home improvement retailer with approximately 475,000 orange-blooded associates and more than 2,300 stores in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. The typical store today averages 105,000 square feet of indoor retail space, interconnected with an e-commerce business that offers more than one million products for the DIY customer, professional contractors, and the industry's largest installation business for the Do-It-For-Me customer.

Visited on 2-16-26.. let me juat say that, sometimes it is insane when you dont want to shop at your local stores because service sucks.. I live in south irving and visited that location one time looking for a toolbox.. no help and once we got help we got a " whats on the floor is all we have" .. then on 2-15-26 visited the north irving location, see that review..
Went to purchase a toolbox and informed them that I would like it still in the boxes for easier transportation. They had it in stock and didnt hesitate to pull it from its over head location.. easy load up on my lowered truck and easy removal when I put the casters on and when I put on the top chest.. THANKS TO ALL THAT HELPED

Nice, pretty friendly, courteous, a lil rude, but we're not going to let one out of the bunch mess it up for everyone! But either than that, It was ok, they didn't have the special I needed nor the other items I needed, but I wouldn't go again. Better off at Walmart, sorry guys!!!

Today, I tried renting a ladder from the Tool Rental Center. Terrible service…I was told, “I’ll get to you when I get to you.” Then the associate walked off.

I asked for help elsewhere…both said, “not my department. sorry.”

Asked for a manager, but no one came, so I just left.

Sad. THD needs to train their staff a lot better.

I visited Home Depot on Lemmon Ave needing help finding water supply lines for a new bathroom vanity that I was installing. Jose and Cindy in the plumbing department offered me extensive help, patience, AND solved my problem. They treated me with respect and professionalism, and they put me at ease when I was ready to give up on the project altogether. I cannot thank them enough for their assistance and willingness to help.

I have to REALLY state that most NOT all employees here have zero knowledge of store layout/products.
It's very hard to find someone who works in certain depts and the language/topic I heard the other day between several of the male cashiers and 2 male floor employees is NOT imo suitable for work but more for streets.
I use this one cause it's close to me but think I might start taking my business to Lowes

Can't seem to get thier orders. Ordered an item online on March 20th. Was given March 24th for a delivery date. I live in the DFW metro plex. Website shows many of them in stock for next day delivery. Mine still shows only label created. FedEx has not received the item. No one knows what's going on. Customer care does not exist. Lowes just got a new customer for life now.

Rental cashier told me the van was broken and couldn't rent out , then 1 1/2 hours later when I came back with my insurance, a different cashier told me the van was available to rent out to me. Shame on your employee for being dishonest just bc HE didn't want to help me or is male shovinest against women. Oriental male cashier.

HELP Wanted: Regarding garden and lumber need. The store is HUGE and I was completely lost. Never been in a big store like this one until this beautiful employee approached me and asked if I needed some help and I told her YES PLEASE. She must of notice that I was really lost. At the end she was able to assist me Answered all of my questions on lumber products and gardening.
I was able to complete all of my shopping at a breeze. Thanks to her I feel pretty much confidence to what to look for in the store. WOW... What a great customer experience. She asked me if I was satisfied with her service, to complete a customer survey. yes of course I will. I was at Awe of how she helped me. I don't remember anybody doing this for me. I still remember her name too. Tina. She told me that she was one of the store managers. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Home Depot must be proud to have her as a great access and I'm pretty lucky to meeting her as well. She helped me get what I needed. Thank you Home Depot. And thank you too Tina. You're the sole purpose of why Home Depot is successful. You're the best. Thank you again.
