Hands down the best crab Rangoons I've ever had and the angry chicken is fire!!!

Delightful Thai & Laos restaurant on the south side. Seating for around 50 I would guess. Wheelchair accessible.

Have tried many dishes here and always liked them. Typically order medium heat, which translates to super hot to me. I cannot imagine what the hot is. Generous portions. They are open Tuesday- Sunday, closed Mondays. Lunch specials during the week. Quick and friendly service. Locally owned and operated. You can tell all the veggies are cooked fresh and the food comes out piping hot.

Another place that was good when it first started out. Some days the food is good and other days not. The service is horrible! I don't recommend phone orders, they let their answering service answer, or they will answer it at closing time.

I love their angry catfish sticky rice and papaya salad one pepper. Always good food there and I I love your steak salad to.

Let me start by saying, the food has always been great. Wish we lived closer. LOL, but the service is religiously slow and unresponsive (you can set your watch to it). However, I see they hired at least one new girl who was awesome. That’s how service should always be. Honey, you earned them 5-stars across the board. Hope the others learn. Anyway, back to the food, love it!!!!! We’ve tried several dishes and they’ve all been tasty. If you’re in the neighborhood and don’t mind the wait (not because of a line), you won’t be disappointed. Oh, the peanuts and sriracha sauce you see in the photo came on the side.

Always GREAT, but today, they were busy with several larger parties, and the quality of what is normally delicious was affected.
The egg rolls were cold and very greased. They apparently shook the red pepper a little too fast and ruined the Chicken Basil as it was too seasoned hot to eat.
The waitress did a good job, taking our order and making sure we had water and extra napkins. Thank you for your great service.

I have been dining at Nut Pob for over 20 years. Whenever I make it back home, it’s top of the places I have to visit in Des Moines. Thanks for the GREAT food over the years!!

Nice place for Thai food! I had the Combination Vermicelli (large portion) - pretty good, but nothing outstanding. Angry catfish was good (especially eaten with sticky rice) and the sauce served with it is spicy!

Fried rice comes with a lot of the frozen mixed vegetables and egg (on the lighter side). Pad Thai is on the lighter side and flavorful. Som Tam (papaya salad) is tasty served spicy. I didn’t care for the beef Laap (thought it was bland). My cousins live in the area and this is their go-to for Thai food so I’ll be returning in the future.
