Took my father to urgent care. Dusty, at the front desk was amazing. She provided outstanding, fast and courteous service. She got my father registered and into urgent care within 3 minutes. I cannot say enough how amazing she is.

Once at urgent care we waited less then 5 minutes and the nurse, Ellie, was very knowledgeable, and friendly. She was respectful to my father and to myself. I recommend asking to see her next time you come here. The facility was spotless and meticulously maintained. The waiting area and treatment room were clean and sanitized. Overall, the staff, Dusty and Ellie, and the facility were absolutely amazing. Kudos to Dusty and nurse Ellie, They were both very helpful and respectful.

I went into the ER AFTER being seen at a different urgent care center. All of the staff, from the minute we walked into the man we want out were so super helpful and had an amazing sense of humor! The ER doctor himself was an absolute joy! He explain things to me show me pictures of acare center. All of the staff, from the minute we walked into the man we want out we’re so super helpful and had an amazing sense of humor! The ER doctor himself was an absolute joy! He explain things to me show me pictures of my x-rays and got very detailed with me about my treatment. Definitely recommend for all of your emergency needs!. I definitely will be returning. If I have a medical emergency their staff, nurses, doctors are absolutely amazing.

I had a very good prenatal and C-section experience with the nurses, midwives, and OB team. I saw the midwives for my prenatal/postpartum care and my C-section was performed by Dr. Turner. They all listened to my concerns, helped me feel confident every step of the way, and cracked jokes to keep the mood light. I never once felt judged for not knowing what to do or feeling nervous. I would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat. If we ever decide to have more children, I won’t hesitate returning. This was the best birthing experience I could have asked for.

My family member had to stay in the inpatient unit for mental health. The Unit Clerk Anne was completely unprofessional. She hung up on me several times and also refused to let me talk to my family member or the nurse which I had a signed waiver saying I could do both. When reported I was told her manager Heidi would call me but no call from Heidi so clearly it’s okay that the Unit Clerk treats family members like garbage and kind of concerning because how are people on the inside treated likes? Then I was also told a patient advocate Abby would call me to discuss my concerns and yet no call from the patient advocate. Also, I bought my family member two new books (total $40) that the unit said were “loss”. They put a sticker on it that had his name and all his info on it. How do you loose something in a locked unit? No one will call me back about that either. Also, the doctor my family member saw when he was there said he spent “a lot of time with him” which is how he came up with his diagnosis. He actually only spent maybe 20 minutes total with my family member who was there was almost three weeks. My family member stated he found a razor in the bathroom and talked about how his room wasn’t cleaned for multiple days in a row. He did that infront a judge and lawyer who just said “well that is the mental health system”.

My wife had a total knee replacement surgery at Broadlawns. The Pre-op and Post-op nursing care was nothing short of outstanding! Especially the phenomenal care provided by RN Cicily was truly exceptional in every way. We would rate Cicily’s care a +10 on a 5-point scale.
Then my wife was moved to a hospital room on the third floor for the evening and night. The nursing care on the third floor of the new extension building was nothing short of horrendous! The nurses in the nursing station on the 3rd floor were intentionally rude and couldn’t care less about an issue with the IV infusion machine. My wife was in a lot of pain despite the sedation and she was finally resting when the IV machine went berserk making a loud noise that prevented my wife from being able to sleep through her pain. We used the nurse button to call for assistance and were told the nurse will be coming to assist. 30 minutes of incessant noise later - no nurse and no help. So I walked over the nurses station and requested assistance. There were 10 nurses sitting around doing their own thing and not a single nurse offered to get up and assist. One heavy set nurse barked at me saying your nurse will be coming shortly. So I went back and another 25 noisy minutes later, I had had it. I went back to the nursing station and all the 10 nurses were still sitting there doing nothing. This time I asked for a supervisor. And the heavyset nurse told me that no supervisor is around till the morning. I told her I wanted to speak to whoever is in-charge now. She stalled and asked me why I wanted to speak to a supervisor. The nerve!!!! After she was so intentionally rude, unhelpful and unprofessional. I told her it was my business with her supervisor. Finally she called the supervisor who came promptly. He listened and was empathetic. Not sure what if any action he took. We didn’t want any special care. Just some one to quieten the noisy IV machine. I come from the corporate world. If these nurses were working for my team, I would unequivocally fire all of them and hire fresh competent help that really enjoys serving patients. Especially the heavy set nurse would be the first to go because she set a terrible example for the other 9 nurses to follow.

My mother was getting some tests done and I took the opportunity to get some lunch. The cafe was amazing. Lots of variety and very cheap. Great experience.

Went in with a sore throat. Worst I've ever had. I didn't have health insurance, and was told this is a free clinic. I got tested for strep and it came back negative. They then had me do a throat culture and waited until the following Monday to tell me the results. Monday came around and they told me again that I didn't have strep and have "some sort of virus." I asked what virus? They said they didn't know. They also gave me a pamphlet with a number for financial counseling for not having insurance. After calling, they said I have to come in for paperwork! Why wouldn't they just have me do it while I was there?! So now I have a bill for them telling me I am sick...

The staff is usually very attentive and considerate but this particular time my 16 year old brother was in the ER. And his nurse was the rudest person I’ve ever come across especially in a hospital setting which was alarming. She came in his room & talked to him in a loud condescending tone/voice, & slamming things in the trash while a child patient was asleep. She then proceeded to ask questions very rudely and unprofessionally. This is not how any caretaker should treat patients, ESPECIALLY children. And should most definitely not be in this role as an occupation. She obviously doesn’t have any kids or compassion for others. Her name is Eliza and she should get a quick attitude and work ethic adjustment. There’s been many other reports of racial bias and mistreatment of BIPOC, and from our experience, it is very clear this is just a small incident compared to others I’ve read. Which should draw alarm to any organization and place that is inherently supposed to treat illness and pain. Nurses like Eliza are just a small inkling of this bigger issue. If this is the standard now, then it’s a cause for shame.

I was denied patient care for anxiety and depression because I missed appointments and was agitated about treatment of two different care providers that called in or denied medication or wrong diagnosis of meds. I spoke with Jill who is a manager and she didn’t want to hear anything from me only to say was being banned from the entire clinic of Broadlawns. If this is how mental health patients are being handled no wonder there is a huge issue with mental health. I hope nothing happens to me as it will be on their hands not mine!

Contacted patient advocate and was told No one wanted to hear my side. I was being treated for anxiety/panic attacks when leaving my home and asking to stop current meds as they were effecting my life in adverse matter. Yet I was denied because of missed appointments which I was supposed to be receiving treatment.

Because of poor treatment at mental health clinic I was denied health treatment at the entire clinic!! How is that right??? I didn’t have any issues with any other division of clinic!!

I know it's just a county hospital but this place has improved drastically over the years. All the new additions..it was just simply a place that needed the updates.

I like the location of the hospital but some of the staff is horrible in patient care. The point of any care is to validate and listen to concerns not destroy the whole point of it.

I was diagnosed with HS. I've been in alot of pain because of it and it was affecting me at work. I went and got a sonogram. When I went to the appoint the doctor came in with a female student and told me to "drop them" I said I would prefer if I could have one doctor in the room preferably a male..this seemed to annoy the doctor. He said he could do surgery but it wouldn't make a difference. And I asked what steps to take because I was in alot of pain.he shrugged...so I went out got all these books and started to address it myself. I tried to get fmla he refused to sign the papers I waited about a month for him to call me he never did i went to the hospital s record's department to get the papers that they said were signed when I called when I got there everyone just seemed confused. I've been living with this for a long time and have just been suffering. It just bothered me the doctor didnt seem to care have any advice i mean im in an office with my privates exposed thats how bad I wanted to get this fixed its so frustrating I know if I was someone just a bit more famous or rich there would be atleast advice not a shrug.

Treated very poorly due to my anxiety/depression.Anemia was misdiagnosed as a panic attack .Saliva gland infection persisted for 6 months because my symptoms were not believed, even accused of lying by Charles Wadle of behavior health. This hospital will leave your physical and emotional health shattered if you have mental illness and dare to advocate for yourself
