- I recently had flights in/out of the Detroit Airport and rented a car from Budget Car Rental. I expected big airport/big business chaos, but was surprised to find a very organized system! EVERYONE was so friendly and helpful. The car was clean and ran very well. I will definitely rent from Budget again. I used to be an Avis customer, but no longer after they notified me a YEAR later claiming I wrecked the car I had rented from them (which I absolutely did not). I’m a definitely a new, happy Budget car customer!

Rented a car advertised by Budget as seating 7 people but there were only 6 seat belts. Our quoted fee almost doubled with hidden fees in the fine print when the bill posted to my bank account, but these added fees were never explained. Never again would we use Budget. It was anything but budget friendly.

I had to go to this one because of the budget in Livonia closing on me luckily customer service was able to reschedule me there immediately when I came in I asked to speak with the manager about the horrible service I received at Livonia on Plymouth he gave me a vehicle right away I needed to get on the road and he really saved me thanks again to the manager that was working that night you truly made me feel like you cared about my money I had a beautiful suburban cleaned out gas filled I know you guys don’t get allot of good reviews but I just wanted to let you know I appreciate your service

I had one of the most challenging rental experiences with Budget. We rented a 12-15 passenger van, encountering a long wait due to the holiday season. The initial vehicle had dampness and broken parts, leading to a replacement. However, the replacement had issues like low tire pressure and a missing blind spot mirror. Despite attempting to proceed, the problems persisted, prompting another exchange after a 30-minute wait.

Upon hitting the road, the check engine light illuminated, requiring yet another exchange. The subsequent vehicle, though old, seemed operational but was loud with air rushing through the driver's door sill. Another exchange followed, and this entire ordeal consumed over 5 hours.

While Budget's staff was friendly and helpful, the experience left me reluctant to return, except for the lower price. It's perplexing how a vehicle with blatant warning lights and missing components was provided. This ordeal not only caused a delay in our trip but also necessitated a complete adjustment of our plans. I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone.

Detroit airport: By far the nicest car rental staff I have experienced in the last two decades. They get the car rented in a timely fashion AND they still treat you like a person. Just pleasant people.

Car wasn’t what I reserved. Front passenger seat was destroyed, smelled like smoke, inside and outside was dirty, found a joint in the center console, change oil light was on, and needs a front end alignment.
