I just gave birth on may 5 2023. Before giving birth I repeated several times to the nurse not to give me Pitocin. After birth I was wondering why I was feeling like I was about to pass another baby. The disrespectful nurse switched my I’v tube from fluids to Pitocin without informing me also against my will after I said plenty of times not to. I know for a fact this hospital better get rid of these disrespectful nurses that have no regard for their patients wants/needs. If nothing is done they will be looking at a big lawsuit, I know I’m getting my paperwork done now.

Stayed 3 days & 2 nights after hip surgery recently, service was great BUT covid restrictions haven't fully ended, dr said it'll be a 1 day ordeal then we can fly back to the big island, my girl friend who's fully vaccinated wasn't able to stay in my room but could stay 16 hours & needed to leave & go down stairs in the lobby & try to sleep! mind you masks wasn't mandatory in hospital! will reconsider next surgery there!

Emergency department Charge nurse Eric Palacol must be reprimanded and his unethical and unprofessional behavior reassign our kind hearted 101 year old tutu and aunt. They simply and kindly asked about treatment and a plan to treat our gravely Ill tutu after she spent 12 hours without receiving treatment of a definitive plan and when they politely asked to speak with the medical supervisor after 12 hours without treatment (which ultimately led to her death) he threatened to have security remove them.
Queens must stop this practice of threatening patients and their family members with removal by security simply for kindly inquiring about treatment or requesting to speak with supervisors when someone is on their death bed
He and other staff members there that engage in this unethical medical practice must be terminated or retrained
And if local news agencies won’t do stories on this archaic practice then we request that national news agencies step in and prevent this sort of subhuman treatment of 101 year old severely disabled Covid patients who die because of inhumane medical practices

The nastiest place on earth. More and more doctored are leaving and going back to the mainland. Walking through medical defectors to see a doctor is pathetic. Anyone you do see that works their are all burnouts. No education and very underpaid. If they were worth more then they would t work there. Articles show employees getting attacked by patients. Maybe they deserve it. LOL

Debbie K.

The Doctors and Nurses were all nice and took good care of me. The Doctor came to see me everyday to see how I was doing. The Nurses were all nice and took good care of me. Whenever I needed something and pressed the Nurse bell they came fast to check in on me and helped me with what I needed. Every once in awhile they would stop by to see how I'm doing. I would tell my family no need to worry I am being well taken care of. If you want the best care Queens Hospital. You will be taken care with loving hearts and caring hands. I was...

I had heart surgery here February 2023. While my surgery and care was good, dealing with the billing/financial assistance department has been hell. My insurance company didn’t cover $3k of my surgery, and I cannot afford that. Went back and forth with the billing and financial assistance department for SIX MONTHS, getting all the paperwork they need etc to deem me low income and have the remainder of my balance forgiven. Finally I get approved for Quest, in which case my balance is suppose to be forgiven in full, but they keep charging me, asking me to pay my monthly payments etc. tried to call maybe 7 times now and I just end up being on hold for an hour longer.
Ask for a callback, no one calls you back.
Leave a message, no one calls you back.
There’s not even any way to contact the billing deptartment via MyChart.

SO disappointing.

(BTW, I had a similar situation at Straub, it only took them one month to sort everything out for me. Shame on you, Queens.)

I had a heart procedure done here and was very pleased with all the services I recieved. The doctor and nurses were all great. Nurse Tauna Louise in recovery was my favorite. She was wonderful. Knowledgeable, patient, attentive and with the kindest bedside manner.
