Dr. Lim was inspired to start SLim Dental Kids after one of his own children needed dental work done. Even as a dentist, he still knows exactly how it feels to be the parent sitting beside the chair worrying about their child getting the best possible care. He determined to create a pediatric practice where all children received the level of care he expected for his own kids, and where parents were heard and put at ease as well.
We know schedules are busy and kids can drag their feet about sitting still for an appointment. But we promise, it couldn’t be easier to get scheduled, and once kids step into our office, they’re usually more than willing to participate in our fun process.

- Came here last week with my child for a first visit , I had just changed jobs so I wasn’t too sure on my insurance coverage so I called and they told me the insurance coordinator will look into my insurance info and would call me back. They called me within ten minutes her name was Zoe to let me know my son was covered for the visit and explained how my insurance worked .I was nervous when I came in but everything was decorated nice so my son was excited to see the animals on walls and tvon. They called me in fast no wait and doctor was very patient and explained everything for first time ! DrKim was sweet and informative ! my husband and I will be recommending slim dental to our friends and family.
- Brought my daughter for her first dentist appointment today. She saw Tracey Kim who was so sweet, gentle, and patient with her. She did an extremely thorough cleaning (to my surprise, because I didn’t think she’d be able to do much on my under 2 year old.) She first provided very detailed instructions on good dental care, then after getting my daughter settled she scraped off the plaque, brushed, and applied fluoride varnish. My daughter didn’t cry or object once throughout the whole visit. At the end, they gave us a “goodie bag”. Inside the goodie bag they included a custom stuffed animal which really helped settle my daughter as well. We are leaving the area otherwise would definitely keep coming back for all future visits! Highly recommend to others in the area, especially nervous parents bringing their kid(s) in for a first dentist visit. The office space is also very clean and lovely.
