Consulate General of Italy - Consolato Generale d'Italia a New York

In May 2023, I booked my appointment to apply for my visa in August. I was very prepared with all my documents (except my SASE to have my passport mailed back to me - so remember to have that!) and showed up early. The security guard who processed us outside the consulate was amazing. She was so kind and patient and did not raise her voice at any of the sometimes agitated people who had not booked appointments, but thought they would try their luck anyway. She answered so many questions, too. So grateful for security like her. Inside the consulate, everything went smoothly with average wait time, and very polite and kind staff who processed my application quickly. What a pleasant experience with the counter staff! I got my visa 10 days after my application - exactly how long the super professional staff said it would take. Grazie mille!

I got there today , I was missing something about an uploading some info on the AIRE registration. (Yes my fault)
I wanna Thank the gentleman who took my application and helped me !!! I was so scared to come back again in 2 months , he literally helped me , collected all my documents, went through registration again and got my appointment done very quick !!!

From the moment I walked in the door the staff at the consulate was very professional. The pleasant soft spoken security guard to the kind and patient passport processing gentleman. Thank you and looking forward to going back with the rest of my family.
