The Royal Thai Consulate General in New York is responsible for the issuance of e-Visa for residents in 10 Northeastern states of the U.S., or so-called consular jurisdiction, namely Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Islands and Vermont.
STICKERLESS E-VISA SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
Announcement on stickerless e-Visa service
For Tourist Visa (TR), applicants must
Upload travel itinerary (evidence of flight numbers and dates to and from Thailand),
Upload proof of accommodation
(evidence showing where you will be staying throughout your visit in Thailand),
Upload proof of adequate finance
(minimum 700 USD for single entry tourtist visa )
PROCESSING TIME
It is highly recommended to apply for a visa approximately one month before your intended travel date.
The application for visa must be submitted online no more than 90 days and no later than 14 days prior to your trip.
Consular officers reserve the right to request additional documents as deemed necessary as well as the right to reject any application without having to provide reason.
PAYMENT PROBLEM
In case that your payment cannot be processed through, please contact your credit card provider/Bank to resolve the issue by confirming that it is an authorized transaction and not fraudulent.

As one of the countries listed for Visa Exemption, U.S. Passport Holders are not required to obtain a visa when entering Thailand for tourism purposes, and will be permitted to stay in Thailand for a period not exceeding 30 days on each visit. For travellers entering Thailand during 1 October 2022 to 31 March 2023, their period of stay will be extended from 30 days to 45 days.
