Only 2 brands on glass bottled water are always in stock. They don't have various brands of glass bottled water like Las Vegas whole foods. The two they have constantly in stock are bad quality. The wild previously frozen salmon is never on ice, which results in bad looking wild salmon for sale. I could go on and on. The goji berries for sale are bad quality from China, best quality is from Tibet. Organic Macadamia nuts for sale are toxic quality from Kenya. Africa is known for high heavy metals in their nuts, and their chocolate. This is not a great whole foods, there's better whole foods stores in other states. Vegas, Texas, etc.

I always love Whole Foods but, this location in Union Square was a total shocker. A woman cashier there did not speak English and was extremely difficult with customers. This occurred on the 2nd floor. Not going back there anymore, I heard others don't like that WF location either.

Jose from the produce section downstairs went above and beyond his role to get me a “ripe” avocado. I mentioned I wanted to eat it tonight and we both agreed it had to be “just right” in order for that to happen..he even checked elsewhere for me! Thank you so much for being so kind!

Springsteen already left a note in song about places, people and their officious regard for brown folks they know are black.

This has the most variety of baked goods - cakes, cookies, donuts, breads, etc. Currently they've added self checkout which is very helpful, no long lines, instead I don't see any lines at all. They've also renovated the store to make room for self checkout counters. They've added more freezers at the lower level with more frozen goodies. Excellent store. Highly recommended

Awesome produce, readymade fresh food, well designed.
The prices, though, are super high. If you want to treat yourself once a week, it is the place, otherwise ... do the math.

I don't recommend going to this store due to the combination of exorbitant prices, insufficient staff at the registers, and the occasional dangerous customer. Prices on many items are ridiculously high, such as $8.50 for a loaf of brioche bread and $7 for a small container of pomegranate seeds - just a couple of examples. Today, when I got in the full service checkout line, they had only two registers open for a line of 15 customers. While in line, I observed a security guard smack a box of food out of a guy's hand who was in line at the customer service desk/registers. The food went flying everywhere - on the floor, on the counter, on business cards. The man in line proceeded to shout at the security guard who stepped towards the front of the store. He got louder and was eventually escorted out. I then spoke with the manager to point out both issues - insufficient staff and the behavior of the security guard. He advised that the staffing issue was due to breaks and callouts. He also stated that the man whose food got smacked was a thief who regularly tries to steal from the store. He said that he's called the police in the past on the man, but the police take 45 minutes to show up and don't do anything. And that "it's Union Square", meaning customers should expect to witness that type of thing. I will do my best to avoid shopping here - any Trader Joe's has better prices and I've never witnessed a serious conflict.

All and all the store isn’t bad and look most whole foods it’s decent but I will say sometimes the staff can be rude from
My experience but I can look past that at times as long as the store is comfortable. The 3rd last floor has glass windows with a beautiful view of Union square however it’s so hot up. Either the air conditioner is on low purposely or it just doesn’t work at all. This is an area where people are eating hot food as well as any food in general. On a day like today where it’s 95 degrees there’s no reason why the air conditioners shouldn’t be blasting. The second and first floor are perfect and nice and cold while the third is the complete opposite. In my opinion your customers should be able to be comfortable while they eat not sweating.

Normally I enjoy this store and the staff
But today I was caught off guard when I was in the middle of self check out and an employee said I missed an item then canceled the entire purchase so that I had to start over. (Nothing was bagged, all of my items were still On the counter) Annoyed at the fact that I explained previous to them doing that, that I wasn’t finished ringing up being that I was on item maybe 10 out of 30, I asked her to scan everything. She then told me no this is self check out, so I stood there until she did. I understand people miss items at self check out but if someone is in the middle of ringing their items up that’s a completely different story. Really upset about this, either eliminate self Check out and have the employees ring
Up the way they want to or handle situations like this appropriately and professionally
