Founded in 1839, Lincoln Medical Center is one of New York City's first acute care hospitals, located in the heart of the Bronx. It has over 300 physicians with a capacity of 347 beds, including 20 NICU beds, 30 ICU beds, 8 PICU beds and an 11-bed dialysis center. The hospital is the first dedicated breastfeeding hospital in the Bronx and is part of a global hospital initiative sponsored by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) to advance maternal and child health.
