I’ve had 2 mattresses from mattress firm so far. Both have caused me agonizing back pain for the last 6 months because they were SO much firmer than the ones in store (which have been “broken in”) - I spent hours testing in store thinking “these are comfortable!” just to realize, when the actual mattress is delivered, that it immediately causes me discomfort to lie on them. I’ve put up with both for so long because I’ve been trying to get it to that “broken in” state, but is that worth the cost of back pain when I get out of bed every morning? I’m young without any joint issues - I can’t live life like this. If the delta between the actual mattress and the testers in store is so large, what’s the point of even patronizing a store in person? I might as well just purchase online. Deeply unhappy with my experience. My poor sleep has cratered every other aspect of my health. It shouldn’t take so many attempts to find the right mattress.
