Connecticut Children’s Medical Center is a nationally recognized, 187-bed not-for-profit children’s hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. Ranked by Women’s Choice as one of the best children’s hospitals in the nation, we foster a patient- and family-centered environment with a focus on research, education and advocacy.
Connecticut Children’s serves as the primary pediatric teaching hospital for the UConn School of Medicine, has a teaching partnership with the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University and is a research partner of The Jackson Laboratory.

History
The history of Connecticut Children’s spans more than 100 years. Founded as a 10-bed hospital for children who suffered incurable conditions like cerebral palsy, spina bifida and polio, Connecticut Children’s is now one of only two freestanding children’s hospitals in New England and the only freestanding children’s hospital in Connecticut.

Children across the state benefit from our support for community initiatives to keep children safer and healthier. Academic medical professionals are supported in their pursuit of discovery through research. Community-based pediatric health care providers receive the guidance and support they need from our multi-specialty experts.

The main campus of Connecticut Children’s Medical Center is located at 282 Washington Street in Hartford. It is one of just two freestanding children’s hospitals in New England and the only one in Connecticut exclusively dedicated to the health and wellbeing of children. GETTING HERE Traveling by Bus

Traveling by Plane
Nineteen major airlines fly into nearby Bradley International Airport (Hartford/Springfield). Taxis are available from the airport to Connecticut Children’s at a fixed rate.
Traveling by Train

VISITOR PARKING
The visitor parking garage is located at 85 Seymour Street, across from Connecticut Children’s ambulatory entrance. Handicapped parking spaces are available on every level. Hours are Monday through Friday from 6:30am-10pm and Saturday and Sunday from 7:30am-10pm. Handicapped and wheelchair accessible parking is also located near the main entrance on Washington Street.

Long-term Parking
Parking garage access cards are available for purchase to families with a child who will stay at Connecticut Children’s for an extended period. Cards may be purchased at the Cashier’s Office (2C on the second floor) or at the Hartford Hospital Gift Shop during regular business hours. Garage access cards cost $20 per week or $65 per month, plus a $10 deposit which is refunded when the card is returned. For more information, please call the Cashier’s Office at 860.545.9851.
Valet Parking
Valet parking is available at the Connecticut Children’s ambulatory entrance on Seymour Street Monday through Friday from 6am-6pm at a rate of $5.00/ up to 4 hours and $10.00/ 4+ hours, daily max. Handicapped parking is available near the Valet/Emergency Department entrance and always free.
