The original Whole Foods Market opened in 1980 with a staff of only 19 people. It was an immediate success. At the time, there were less than half a dozen natural food supermarkets in the United States. We have grown by leaps and bounds since our first store opened.

My favorite Whole Foods in Houston, even though it really hasn’t been whole foods in years. Not since Amazon bought them out. But, this location will kind of remind you how it used to be. Closest you’ll get to old school WF, at least in the Houston area. Oh well, what can you do. It’s definitely better than the Post Oak location if you’re off San Felipe outside the loop.

This is a nice store I like going here to buy, unfortunately I had a bad experience with a worker today and that can ruin the opinion you have of the store. A simple question I asked this young worker. “ were can I find this tea?” And he replied is this in produce? I say no it’s a tea, he responded, O I don’t know. Can you get me someone? He respond I don’t have a radio. And that was half of the story I will put the all conversation but it was just a bad experience. I did talk to the manager and he was very polite.
Kid's name was Dee he told me but his tag was scratched off so I couldn’t see his name.

Their steam tables have some of the best food items from time to time. Always a nice to-go surprise.
