This idea was born in 2018 when Hicham and Lucy decided to move to Houston after 2 years in Orlando, looking for new opportunities. In that search for opportunities, they felt that there was a need for a place of Arabic food, with a FUSION OF MEDITERRANEAN ARAB STYLE TO VENEZOLAN, where people could experience and remember this fusion, and that is where they begin to create the project KASIUN MEDITERRANEAN FOOD, achieving in 3 months to have their Food Truck of SHAWARMAS TO VENEZOLAN STYLE, in the Mason RD. Katy, Tx. in 2018.
It is there, where Kasiun begins to mark its growth, finding in them, the best beef, chicken and mixed shawarmas, with more
falafel and kibbe; going on to have the best known and favorite Shawarma among them the SPECIAL MIXED SHAWARMA, called by them «Shawarma Maracucho».
By April 2022, they open their doors to the first restaurant, with a wider menu, with the same quality and flavor that characterizes them in a cozy atmosphere for the whole family.
For all those who ask where the name KASIUN comes from, it means: a mountain with a viewpoint, which is in the middle east (Oriente Medio) made up of a solid and firm rock called KASIUN, which we identify ourselves as that rock SOLIDOS.

- My wife and I are in no way familiar with shawarma, as it was our first experience. We are however familiar with excellent cooking, especially when there is time, care, and passion involved. Once we took our first bite of our respective wraps, we were hooked! There is a beautiful level of herbs and spices in their food, and it is beyond delicious. I had the beef special wrap, my wife the chicken special, and we shared the dip sampler, and I tell you this wholeheartedly, you will not regret your decision to eat here, I promise you that! 10,000/10 would make the three hour drive from our hometown to eat here again, just because!

The shawarma was more like fajitas than shawarma, it was very disappointing. Please bring back the mixed shawarma plate and the original way it was cooked, it WAS so good.

- Kasiun is my favorite Mediterranean food ever, their plates are delicious and I really like the fact that they offer a lot of variety in other venezuelan plates like Tequeños, Bolitas de queso and more for kids that are picky eaters. All the food we've tried here has been wonderful and the bathroom is also clean, their new place is really spacious and does not feel very crowded. Really amazing food and service is also great.
- The food was excellent and everything was clean, but it is very frustrating to see the same girl taking care of the till, going in and out of the kitchen and serving the tables. At least on weekends they should have more staff.
