Just love this place!!! Every time I visit Houston I make sure I visit this place. Simply amazing vegetarian food. I been here now for couple years now and the food never disappoints. You might have to wait longer on weekends but weekdays there’s almost no wait. I enjoyed everything on the plate but I dig the warm comforting khichdi with loads of ghee.. simple yet supremely delicious. Last but certainly not the least the Chass.. Can’t wait to visit next time.

Awesome tasty, sweet and spicy food with over 30 dishes, served on your table by serve staff . Enjoyed yo the fullest every bit. If you care for service ( not bad though while they ask most items on your table, which restaurant they ask you like that?) than food, this place is not for you. Manager seem little rough just I feel it because he wants to make rooms for patrons are waiting on sun waiting for 30 minutes. Must visit for a special occasion.

Majestic, one of its kind Experience…, I actually felt like maharaja. It’s an unlimited buffet of Indian food. Food was amazing not too spicy. Good for Natives as well as desi people. They have lots of variety. Good thing is no restriction on any thing. Like you can have unlimited sweets or any other item. They do change menu everyday. So every time I go I get to try different sabzi (vegetable), Namkeen (snack) and sweet. papad, buttermilk, dals, rice, roti and khachadi remains same throughout. On my previous visit I got to have puri. Price range is very decent. They do charge bit more for weekends but it’s totally obvious. Ambiance is quite and peaceful. Best place for family gathering and meetups. I was highly impressed with the service. I didn’t need to call them for any food items they circle back on and off to check if I need something. All the servers are very well dressed and I do like their dress.

Must visit place for Indian veg food especially for people with a palate for less spicy and home like food. Extraordinary service. Unlimited quantity for $25 with variety of items if a thali is opted.

Thai had too many items but all taste the same.. mainly kaju based gravy. Lack of spice flavor in kadi and dal.

Maharaja Bhog offers a traditional Rajasthani (North West Indian) thali (buffet with service included). The Dal Baati, one of the traditional Rajasthani Indian dishes tastes just like it does in India and is my absolute favorite. They offer 3 different sweets, 3 curries with phulka (smaller rotis) and poori, and sweet and spicy dal and kadhi to eat with rice and Pulav respectively. Overall it's a sumptuous meal with options for all and very filling. Make sure to go on a hungry stomach and fill up for the day.
They do offer pick up options but I've never tried it.
Also there's a small wait time on the weekends so it's advisable to reach there about 20mins before your stomach starts growling!
Happy eating

This restaurant is a real cut throat . Not at all worth for the money . 12-15 dollar is a reasonable rate for that type of food . Saravanan Bhavan is hundred times better for the price you pay for the food you eat . In the rating you should add a colum for the price too

Food can be better, lot of the items they serve food that are very similar to each other. There is less difference in the menu between each visits. Service is good but the floor manager asked if we want pan after our meal and he didnt mention it was extra charge. We thought its included in the meal. The sweet pan was stale and very bad. We paid 2.50 for each for it. Hoping the manger will tell its added price and not included in the Thali.

The food is way over priced. It is definitely not worth the 40 mins drive. We ordered thali, all the dishes tasted bland. But the service was exceptional. The staff were very attentive, quick and welcoming. The bill came out to be a big shock.

I recently dined here and took my friends as well. We came from Dallas so heard good things about this place.
Unfortunately, it was a highly disappointing experience. The food was not only subpar but also exorbitantly priced. The taste lacked the authenticity one would expect from an Indian restaurant.

Moreover, the service left much to be desired. The staff seemed disinterested, and their attitude suggested that they were doing customers a favor rather than providing a service. It felt as if the servers were oblivious to the concept of hospitality.

To add insult to injury, we had to pay a premium for what can only be described as mediocre fare.

In summary, our little visit was marked by tasteless dishes, lackluster service, and an unwarranted sense of entitlement in their pricing. I would strongly advise against wasting your time and money on this establishment.

Authentic North Indian cuisine and taste, eaten there and also ordered meal boxes multiple times. This is the only restaurant in Houston who understands how the appropriate usage of red chili powder is important to make delicious Indian cuisine, most of the other Indian restaurants just focus on Red chili powder making it hot, thereby eliminating the actual flavor of the food.

I visited this place multiple times in past, and it was one of the favorite restaurants of mine. After my yesterday’s experience, I think that was my last visit. What I pay and what I got, this gap was bigger than the Grand Canyon.

Sumptuous vegetarian food. It’ll remind you of the dining hall experience if you had it in India. The service and their urge to feed you is something you might not find it an expensive buffets / restaurants.

Food is brought to you and it’s a variety of options. Good food, friendly staff, and nice seating area. Though prices are steep!
