Clean, near, easy to get around. Lots of restaurants and places to spend time while you wait for your flight. We had a first class United lounge access which was great. They kept a huge crowd fed with lots of meal items (sandwiches, soups, salads and desserts, tea, coffee) All airport staff was helpful and accommodating.

The security in terminal a was quick and friendly and the drop off was easy. The signage to get to the drop off could be better but overall a good experience.

Airport was terrible! This was my layover coming from an international trip. Their Global entry was down so I had to go through regular customs, then no TSA Pre in the screening area to get to my connecting flight. I spent the whole two hours of my layover in lines. I finally got to my gate as they were calling the last group to bored. Place is a joke. LAX is far better, as hard as that is to say, than IAH!

Excellent choices of places to eat. Also the train is on time and is excellent.
