Some interesting reviews
- I received a free upgrade, probably because the vehicles were going out so quickly. My plane had arrived an hour late, as well, making me late to pick up my vehicle. Also, the vehicle I received was a wonderful upgrade, but it had not been cleaned out. It's unfortunate that people cannot pick up after themselves and it was full of food wrappers. Myself, I've never kept a vehicle like that, much less, consider returning a vehicle like that. At my destination I did take it through a full service cleaning. I did receive a beautiful upgrade of a 2023 Ford explorer with all the bells and whistles which was great since I don't get to drive as frequently at home now that we have one vehicle and I work from home. This was a wonderful vehicle with automatic high beam headlights and it had the lights that came on in the side mirrors when someone's in your blind spot. It also had heated seats and the backup camera. Great vehicle I love, loved it! I felt so safe in it! Returning the vehicle at the airport was so easy! Someone walked up immediately scanned the tag on it and within a moment I received my return receipt email and could head into the terminal! Perfect! I would highly recommend Budget! I have always used them anyway, for the price, but it worked great for my flight.
- Arriving at the airport, I overheard a request for an employee to stay and work after her shift as they were shorthanded. Not only did she say yes, but she had a great attitude about doing so. The process was quick and professional. The employees were very friendly and courteous.
The only downside to the experience was the condition of the vehicle. It is dark in the garage and difficult to see the condition of the car. Once on the road, it was obvious the car had not been cleaned at all. Though I do not expect a waxed and shiny vehicle, this one was dirty inside and out. There was trash in the door pockets and the next day when we opened the back seat arm rest / cup holder for our nieces to use, the previous renters had closed it with a fast-food sauce packet in the holder and it was dirty, sticky and very hard to clean and use. At turn in, I left my sunglasses in the car. After returning home and realizing what I had done, I called and learned about the "Lost & Found" process. While working through filing a claim and following up on the status I encountered employee Cristen Johnson. From our first conversation she was professional, very knowledgeable of the process and she communicated well explaining to me what to expect.
Over the next few days, I checked in on the Lost and Found site, saw glasses appear and every time I called, Cristen answered or responded with a call back. Through email I was able to send a photo of the glasses and case for easier identification, and within a few days I was contacted by Cristen that my glasses had been found. I was then instructed on how to proceed with a return process. From the professional employees at the rental desk, to the unpleasant condition of the car and back to Lost and Found help from Cristen, my overall experience was a positive one because of the people I encountered, especially Cristen Johnson. Budget just became my first choice in car rental options.
