- One of the best tacos in Indy, If you want authentic Mexican tacos. Al Pastor, Asada, Choriqueso (best in my opinion) are excellent. Cabeza is also very good.
- Always my favorite for asada Street tacos plus the red salsa is to die for
- Gil Tacos has the best Al pastor tacos I’ve had period. Go on a Saturday and they have picked onions and jalapeños as well as a habanero mango salsa to add to your meal. Hidden gem for sure!
- some of the best tacos in indy!!! each taco is 3 - 4 dollars — it’s hard to find cheaper tacos in town, and gil’s is definitely above average. tried cabeza, asada, and al pastor and definitely can recommend.
update, april 2023, al pastor still slaps — it does have onions in it if you’re allergic
- This was my first time eating in this establishment with bother and I've got to say the food here is delicious the staff was ready to take and make your order and the wait time was a breeze they were that fast I recommend this place to everyone who loves authentic tacos to stop by this Gil's tacos trust me you won't regret it
- If you love authentic tacos… don’t think twice. Just come here. It’s so good.
- A lot of Hispanic people come in here as customers, which was a good sign for me that it must be good and authentic. It doesn’t mean EVERYTHING since there’s a lot of mutual support in communities, but I’ve finally decided after my fourth time eating here, it’s GOOD. We have a winner. Beyond the food, this place is clean, their staff are nice, and they always seem to have everything on the menu they advertise. I’ve never been told they’re out of something.
I’d describe Gil Tacos as a taco truck without the wheels. You aren’t served by a waiter at your table, you order at the counter and collect it in the window when ready. But this isn’t an inconvenience at all. You seat yourself and serve yourself. Whatever they’re doing back in the kitchen, they’re doing it well. I haven’t had a mediocre menu item yet. Everything they serve is flavorful and hot. I’ve never been given cold or lukewarm food, which I guess at this point it sounds like my standards aren’t very high. Maybe they aren’t, but I’ve had some garbage food around town here and Gil Tacos is far from that. Delicious menu. This is my favorite in Indy. Also very reasonably priced for what you’re getting. Absolutely worth sharing with others.
- This place is great. Good Mexican food. I haven't gone back to Taco Bell since discovered Gil's. I just wish they had a larger parking lot. Lol
- Tacos Al Pastor & Mike's Fries are the absolute best. Staff is amazing and the food is among the best Mexican food in Indiana.
- Chicken burrito, tostadas elote, French fries and horchata is the best. Verde sauce so good but you want to smack your mama
- every dish ive had here has been excellent! really decent portions for the price.
even during lunch hour i get my food in a good amount of time! stop in and try, you wont regret it :)
- The wait had me thinking about where I could've gone instead. No place for take out customers to WAIT! Your left standing in the "dining area", standing over ppl...as they eat! Tacos a little over priced for the size.
- Hands down one of my favorite restaurants in town. I recommend the chorizo, steak but the shrimp is on another level. I’m sad all other shrimp doesn’t taste like Gil’s Shrimp
Red sauce = mild Green = medium Creamy green = hot
