Costco Wholesale Jacksonville

Ideal store for shopping bulk, I can usually find good deals here compared to nearby stores. However, it feels like the workers here hate their job and roll their eyes when you try to ask for help. Specifically the worker named “Mei” , I asked for help at the checkout counter where she bluntly told me to “do it yourself” and walked away like I was a nobody

Friendly staff. Location is in a very good location of the city. Even though it’s usually super busy but has good customer service.

The staff is friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the store is always over-crowed and wait lines are very long. For that reason, I rarely shop there.

Had a very horrible experience at the Costco on Gate Pkwy on the 08/19/23. There was a flavored yogurt sampling stall manned by an elderly lady named "Jamir", who was very rude, arrogant and downright racist. I was appalled by her attitude and behavior and complained to the manager on duty. I was told that those at the sample stalls are vendors managed by a third party and that the Costco manager would speak to the vendor's manager. Really doubt if anything would even come off it. I don't care if they are Costco employees or vendors, when inside the store, they represent the company as a whole and I expect a certain standard of behavior from them. Being a paid member and customer of Costco, I would expect to be treated with the respect that I deserve. If this is the kind of people that they employ/contract, then am contemplating cancelling my membership and taking my business elsewhere.

Membership only. Costco has great prices, large parking spaces, a liberal return policy and the get you through the check out line fast.

They closed too earlyi. It made no sense to close at 6 when people don't even get off work till 5 or 6.

Great visit. Everyone is very helpful. This is a very nice store. I can get to 3 different stores in my area and this is the best one. I won't be returning to the one at World Golf because of an incident with another customer my last trip there. He made a cynical comment because I was wearing a mask. In almost 4 years of wearing a mask no one has ever said anything like this jerk. Another customer heard him and caught up to me and apologized saying I didn't deserve it because she had heard him. I told her thank you and have a nice day. I avoid people because of my wife's health conditions. It's no one's business if I want to wear a mask. Thank you.

The service attitude of the cashiers should really be improved. They claim that the prices are low, but that’s not necessarily true. You can go to Sams or Aldi, and the prices are low.

They should improve their attitude towards guests and not discount their products just because of membership fees

Great Costco location. The staff is ok, not really friendly but you don’t normally need their help. They are all over the place. I wouldn’t say their customer service is the best but the products are awesome. The prices are not what they used to be but still competitive.

Very busy Costco, but always clean, service is always great and today there was alot of samples to try. I love that they have a hearing center and optical center. Always great service.

Sara B. at the registration counter is very rude. She is the window into people signing up $$. She is the reason I did not sign up. Customer service is important when a person is helping to enroll people into a membership.

Great place to get tires, car batteries, cat food, pizza, higher-end appliances, and more.
They also have the best store-bought kimchi I've found in Jax.
If you want to buy large quantities of just about anything, the membership is worth it.

Great selection of products. My personal go to place for buying quality bulk items. The greeters are very friendly. Does get a bit chaotic during the weekends.

A clean and well organized facility. The biggest selling point outside of bulk prices has to be there delicious sausage dogs.

I just wanted to let you know that Taylor at your customer service is fantastic. I tried ordering my wedding bands online and Costco corporate, canceled my order because they needed to verify how I was. I answered all the questions and identity correctly. And they still canceled my order. I went on Sunday and the couple of associates could not help me, So I tried again Tuesday and Taylor called Corporate called Affirm printed out my order showing it was canceled. Unfortunately, it was no resolved. She tried her best for me that's all we could get done it takes Affirm 10 days to adjust the cancellation. We need more people like Taylor in this country that actually, Cares. Taylor you are the best by far. ********** 10 Stars

RACISM?? Recently, I got a membership at Costco and went there to do some shopping. The check out line was extremely long and backed up and one of the workers told me to get into a second shorter line which I did. Once I got into the line, this other younger, African American lady told me to get out of that line and get back into the line that I was in …….which I already have lost my place. I tried to explain to her the situation, and she just ignored me and was extremely foul and rude for no reason to me. Yet……she let an African-American lady in front of me, go into the shorter line and was very kind to her. Not sure if she just doesn’t like white people or not but there was no need for her attitude especially since I was told to get into that line by another Costco employee. It does seem like she has a problem with white people. Thankfully, it’s been less than a month since I obtain my membership so I was able to cancel it immediately. Not gonna be treated like that……… by some person like that. Unprofessional, and uncalled for, and rude. There is no need to treat people like this, and that’s why I gave them back their membership and will go to their competitor Sams. On top of that their employees need to have better communication because there is obviously no coordination at this place either. The African-American lady was young with very long braids, past the middle of her back. Disgusting behavior!! I just left my cart full of groceries and walked directly to the membership counter.

I went to buy some consumables for the restaurant , and the cashier's actually told me that this was not a resold product, so it couldn't be tax-free for me.

She kept asking me about each item, 'Is this a restaurant?' 'Is this a restaurant?' And in the end, she said, 'Oh, your tax is only seven cents,' which made me feel humiliated.

If you buy disposable dinner plates or paper towels for the restaurant,must these items be repackaged and sold in order to be tax-free? I don't know if she's targeting me specifically , If your cashiers are motivated by canceling and snubbing customers, I really hope you go out of business,

I went to the front desk to report the situation. The front desk was careless and did not solve the actual problem.

They claim that charging membership fees is to better reduce profits, but in fact the price does not have much advantage.

Great shopping. You can easily spend hours shopping and trying products at the little cook stations. I like stopping for hotdogs and a drink after checking out. They're the best and are almost free.

Great Costco. Busy but clean and well managed. Checkout is always busy but they get you through fast. And don’t forget your $1.50 hotdog and drink. That’s where you make your money back.
