- It was easy to book the car. There was neither queue at LAX at the rental point nor at return point at Burbank. At the pick up point at LAX we were upgraded to get Ford Edge and the car was in a great condition, had only 15k miles, clean and in full functionality.

Picking up car was very confusing.Drop off was way better and bus to LAX was great.Driver was wonderful took us right to gate, helped with bags and was wonderful with helping 80 yr old Mother In law. Recommended

The car I received was not well cleaned and maintained , I had alert for tire pressure !
The day after the remote control was no longer working . I went to a budget office but the answer was go and buy a new battery . Last but not least tank was not ful .

I received a Chevy Malibu, might be 2022. Front bumper miss alignment, indicating an impact, before. Price was 10% higher than reservation price. Stuff at the counter will ask for basic waiver or full coverage, a very miss leading conversation to let you pay 25 usd per day if you didn’t declare if you want to use your own insurance or credit cards coverage, as they didn’t give you that choice verbally. As well as the refuel option, you’d have to be very clear to say you will refuel it or they will let you buy a full tank and tell you don’t worry about it Car smells like someone had peed in. Passenger seat stuck and will not move. A seat release latch was loose and hanging there making noise, I fixed it. Waited about 15 min until their shuttle came in. Hertz had 3 rounds of their shuttle passing by. It’s sure my last choice in LAX, I should’ve book ahead and looking for other companies.
Thankfully, they do have cars for renting. I don’t blame them for cutting costs such as less shuttles, let customers pay more on unnecessary stuffs. Just be aware when renting at a “budget”, there will be more chance to spend more eventually.
Reading the others reviews, it seems I received a decent car overall, at least drivable.

staff and car were excellent. There was over an hour wait to get the car, standing in a long line the whole time. We were told it was due to poor management scheduling not enough people during a peak time.

I recently rented a vehicle for 28 days from Budget at LAX over the holiday season. I returned the car a day early since my travel plans had changed due to traveling overseas. I spoke to a person in reservations who said this would be fine. I just received a bill for nearly double the amount owed. I prepaid 921.00 for the rental and just got an e-receipt for 1660.00 in charges. I returned the car with a full tank so it’s not for fuel charges. I tried and got customer service, but they said to call back the same number in the morning since they couldn’t access my rental agreement. Never again with this company. I have rented from Budget many times with this length of time, this is certainly a major letdown.

Perhaps the fact that I was given incorrect information concerning deposit and payment amounts weeks before showing up to collect the car should have given me a sense of foreboding. Customer service over the phone and the persons at the counter at the LAX location gave varying answers.

We waited for 2.30 hours in the line to get our car. It was on Dec 25th but they could have planned how to manage.
They instructed to drop the car with keys inside foe the return. After a few days we noticed another charge and after we called, they told us that we didn't check in and return the car and we had to do it on the phone and ask the refund.
Not easy pick up and return process.
