If you’re driving down Ventura Boulevard and want a meal that feels like a trip across the globe, you’ve got to pull into the Plaza de Oro and visit EuroAsia Restaurant at 17209 Ventura Blvd. It’s one of those special Encino spots where East meets West, blending the best of Russian, Ukrainian, and Uzbek cooking into one menu. The vibe is super cozy and welcoming, featuring a beautiful outdoor patio with a fountain that’s perfect for a chill dinner. It’s the kind of place where the hospitality makes you feel like an old friend the second you walk through the door.
The food here is all about authentic, "stick-to-your-ribs" comfort. If you’ve never had Uzbek cuisine, this is the place to start. You have to try the Plov—a traditional rice dish with tender beef and carrots that’s basically the national dish of Uzbekistan—or the Manty, which are large, steamed dumplings stuffed with spiced meat. Their Shashlyk (kebabs) are also a huge hit, grilled to perfection and served in generous portions that usually mean you’re taking some home for lunch the next day.
What really gives EuroAsia its character is the atmosphere. On the weekends, they often have live music, which turns a quiet dinner into a festive celebration. It’s a major hub for the local Eastern European community, so it’s a great spot if you want an experience that feels culturally rich and lively. Whether you’re stopping in for a hearty bowl of Borscht on a rainy day or sharing a massive "Meat Plate" with a group of friends, the food tastes like it was made with a lot of love and tradition.
They keep a consistent schedule throughout the week, though they do take a break on Mondays. You can drop by Tuesday through Thursday from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM, or stay a little later on Friday and Saturday from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM. On Sundays, they’re open from 12:00 PM back until 9:00 PM. With plenty of parking in the back, it’s an easy, stress-free choice for anyone in the Valley looking for real food that’s a step above the usual.

- Food was good but there were a couple things I wasn't pleased with.
First off the food was not delivered at the same time, it was more than 10 minutes after the first entrée was brought out before the second one was. Wanting to eat the meal together meant the first plate was luke warm. They did have a large private party that night so perhaps that was part of the problem. And I do not like restaurants that add 18% service fee to the bill and still give you a tab where they suggest tip amount. This puts you in a bad spot, not knowing if this service fee goes to the server and if it doesn't you now short the server a tip. If the restaurant needs to charge more than charge more, don't put your customers in this position.

- We held my sisters wedding dinner at EuroAsia and had an amazing experience. Half of us were Ukrainian and half of us were American and we all had an amazing time renting the banquet room. The food, entertainment (the restaurant provided singer), and the service was all above excellent.
All the officiants and servers (Marina and her team) provided outstanding service. Every single one of our requests were met. This included placing our tables exactly as we wanted it and providing us great recommendations.
The service during the event was perfect as well, it seemed as though anything we needed they could do. For example, my sister is pregnant and requested some chicken main dish while we were eating appetizers. The server came out and asked what kind of dish she wanted (chicken kabob or other options) and quickly brought her a portion just for her. This is just one example of the amazing service. Even one of the servers even printing a speech for me, going above and beyond. The serving team made us so comfortable throughout the entire process and went over our expectations. The food was amazing, every dish was deliciously cooked and everyone (American and Ukrainian) complimented the food. There was so much food and so much variety for everyone! Compliments to the chef!
The restaurant provided us an excellent singer who served as a master of ceremonies. Ilya asked us for some idea what kind of music we wanted, and we reminded him we are Ukrainians. The singer made sure to include a lot of Ukrainian songs, even singing in Ukrainian. He did a great job getting to the dance floor - and everybody danced together for HOURS (Ukrainian/American/all). He dedicated songs to my family members, including my grandma. He did a great job with the playlist and even took our requests. Highly recommended. Overall, 10/10. This is our second time hosting a large event (50+ people) at this restaurant and both times were very memorable and we reccomend this restaurant to anyone who wants to throw a large event for their family/friends.
