The only place I will ever bring my pets! The staff work so hard to make you and your pets welcome and feel safe. I always feel confident in their doctors and know my pets get the best care here, even through complicated procedures and one notoriously difficult cat! Thank you, so much to the whole team at Banfield Eagle Rock, you are my heroes!

The staff at Banfield are WONDERFUL. I always feel comfortable leaving my dog with them - they are kind, caring, and accommodating. I am not sure how cost effective it comes out to be (without pet insurance) but I appreciate the discounts on medications and the emphasis on preventative care. The veterinarians and vet techs are knowledgable, informative, and communicative.

1) Okay for routine items but if you have something more time-sensitive (or urgent) the local Banfields are kind of useless.
2) Too much up-selling at *every* appointment.
3) Vets seem competent. But…
4) Frontline workers need, in my experience, more training. For example, when I call recently with an emergency they had no clue who, locally, could handle our dog’s problem.
5) Bottom line: If you can find a non- corporate veterinary that’s great, go there. In general: Avoid Banfield Glendale and Eagle Rock.

This place is a major rip-off. Especially first time pet owners need to stay away from them (I'm not one). I called and asked to be scheduled for an appointment with a tech so my dog could get a pain injection. They scheduled me for an injection and a vet exam even though my dog had just had a full exam by them 2 weeks ago. So my bill was like $120 for my dog to get an injection and an exam that I never asked for. I asked how much it would be if it was scheduled correctly, just and injection, with no vet exam. They said it would be $75, and said that it costs equally as much to have a tech give a shot as a vet give the shot, which is insane. I went back to my old vet at the Los Feliz Small Animal Hospital which btw is a MUCH less stressful experience for my dog overall. They also actually listen to me and the dogs' main vet in Cincinnati instead of telling me I need to do expensive treatments that I have already done, which is also what Banfield did to try to wring money out of me. Los Feliz Small Animal Hospital charged me $35 for an injection which is a lot more normal. I go between here and Cincinnati and my dogs have vets in each city. Banfield told me their prices were high because it's Los Angeles- like no, it's high because you are ripping your customers off. Not going back there again, in any state.
