In the sleek, high-rise skyline of "Florida’s Riviera," Chayhana Oasis at 250 Sunny Isles Blvd is a vibrant, sensory portal to the ancient Silk Road. As the first authentic Uzbek restaurant in South Florida, it serves as a stunning cultural counterpoint to the surrounding glass and steel—a place where the warm, spice-laden hospitality of Central Asia meets the tropical breeze of Sunny Isles Beach.
A Carnival for the Eyes
Stepping through the intricately carved wooden doors is like entering a modern-day Tashkent palace. The interior is an unapologetic celebration of color: sparkling archways, mosaic murals depicting medieval life, and tables draped in glittering gold and "rainbow-zebra" patterns. It is an exotic, opulent hideaway that feels both luxurious and deeply "homestyle."
Why Chayhana Oasis is a Silk Road Sanctuary
The "Osh Plov" Masterclass: The soul of the menu is the Pilaf (Plov)—traditional Uzbek rice simmered with tender lamb, sweet carrots, and a proprietary blend of spices. It is rich, aromatic, and layered with the kind of complexity that only comes from hours in a heavy cauldron (kazan).
Flour, Fire, and "Samsa": Their Samsa (savory pastries) are a must-try. These flaky, golden triangles are stuffed with hand-chopped lamb and onions, perfumed with cumin, and served piping hot. Don't miss their "Non" bread—poppy-seed-flecked loaves that emerge from the oven twice a day, perfect for sopping up savory juices.
The "Lagman" Heritage: Their Lagman—featuring hand-pulled noodles—is a testament to the Silk Road’s geographic reach, blending Chinese noodle traditions with Central Asian spices and hearty beef-and-vegetable broths.
A Fusion of the Steppes: Beyond Uzbekistan, the menu masterfully navigates the flavors of the Caucasus and Eastern Europe. You can start with Turkish-style Dolma, share a cheesy Georgian Adjaruli Khachapuri, and finish with a slice of Medovik (honey cake) that is legendary among the local diaspora.
The Sunset Social
The restaurant’s outdoor patio offers a relaxed, unhurried atmosphere that is perfect for "people-watching" in Sunny Isles. On many nights, the air is filled with live music, turning a meal into a full-scale celebration. Whether you are washing down a charcoal-grilled kebab with a shot of top-shelf vodka or a pot of traditional green tea, Chayhana Oasis provides a sense of community that is rare in the fast-paced Miami dining scene.
The most interesting reviews
- Food is good but the service was really not good today. I was going to leave 10% but there was a mandatory 18%.
- This place is absolutely wonderful! My Russian wife took me - a culture starved Utah boy - and we loved it! Wonderful atmosphere, wonderful food and service. It feels like you’re in a different country. No hustle to get in and get out. When you book a table, it’s assumed you’ll be there until late. You sit back and enjoy the food, atmosphere and music (on weekends). Our favorite restaurant in Sunny Isles.
- Very nice spot. Delish food, great atmosphere and excellent service. Live entertainment on weekends. And you can smoke hookah outside. Visited the pace a few time while in Miami, consistently good times. Check it out.
- I’ve eaten there several times. The food is very good, reasonable portion and decent value, but not cheap. My one complaint is how they handle reservations. I called for a reservation and requested a specific table and was told that you cannot reserve a specific table, but when I arrived at the restaurant, there was a reserved sign on that table. I do not like feeling that I am a second class citizen.
- Wonderful place for eastern food lovers. Great food. Good service. Waiters are very nice and with smiles. Very decent prices. Overall 6 stars out of 5
- The best Uzbek food I ever tried. Everything including drinks was delicious.
- Fast seating, and the food preparation was fast as well. Staff was attentive and the food was well prepared.
- Oh my gosh, I didn't eat home food for a year and I almost cried when I tried this! We took borsh, solyanka, olivie, vegi salad (feel like they grew it by themselves, so fresh), beef kebab. Everything was amazing! Thank you so much guys
