Located at the high-energy intersection of NE 163rd Street and NE 15th Avenue, the Walmart Supercenter in North Miami Beach is a bustling urban landmark. Serving as the primary retail anchor for the "Golden Glades" and NMB area, this location is a masterclass in multicultural commerce, acting as a crossroads for a diverse tapestry of local residents and international visitors.
The North Miami Beach Power-Hub
This isn't just a grocery store; it is a high-velocity service center positioned on one of the busiest east-west corridors in Miami-Dade. It serves as the bridge between the residential tranquility of Eastern North Miami Beach and the commercial hustle of the I-95 gateway.
Why This Location is an NMB Essential
The "Coastal & Global" Grocery: Reflecting the rich diversity of North Miami Beach, the food section is a culinary world tour. You’ll find an expansive selection of Caribbean, Jewish, and Latin American staples all under one roof. From specialized kosher products to fresh tropical fruits, the aisles are meticulously tuned to the neighborhood’s diverse pantry needs.
The "Traveler’s Last Stop": Because it sits on the direct route to Sunny Isles Beach and Aventura, this Supercenter is a favorite for tourists and beach-goers. It’s the unofficial staging ground for stocking up on sunscreen, oversized beach towels, and coolers before heading over the bridge to the Atlantic.
A Full-Service Tech & Lifestyle Center: This branch is a heavy-hitter for electronics. It’s a primary destination for local students and professionals looking for the latest 5G smartphones at the Wireless Center or high-performance laptops. It also features a robust Auto Care Center, making it a one-stop-shop for a tire change while you tackle your weekly shopping.
The "Service Plaza" Feel: Beyond retail, this location functions like a small village. With an on-site SmartStyle Hair Salon, a comprehensive Vision Center, and a high-traffic Liquor Store, it allows locals to handle everything from a new haircut to a pharmacy pickup in a single, air-conditioned loop.
The Atmosphere
"It’s a vibrant, fast-paced melting pot where the energy of the '305' meets suburban convenience."
The vibe at the NE 163rd St branch is dynamic and polyglot. You’ll hear a seamless blend of English, Spanish, and Kreyòl in the aisles. It lacks the sleepiness of suburban stores, opting instead for a "Main Street" energy where everyone from busy commuters to multi-generational families is on a mission.
Pro-Tip for the NMB Local
Traffic on 163rd Street can be legendary. To save time, utilize the "Scan & Go" feature on the Walmart app to skip the checkout lines entirely. Also, if you’re a fan of fresh-baked treats, this location’s Bakery is known for its custom cakes and a wide variety of "grab-and-go" pastries that are perfect for a quick breakfast before heading to the nearby Oleta River State Park.

- I am highly disappointed and disgusted on how things are being ran here the lines are just ridiculous not enough workers to provide help for the amount of customers they receive customer service sucks and I’m just praying they can get it together for the holiday season coming up
- There was plenty of parking, and easy entry. In this superstore there was actually a host, leading one to the right department. In the Money Services department, Brianna did an excellent job. Very honest.
- Never seen a store in such a state of disrepair and chaos. Every product is open, broken, or both. The shelves are empty and stock is sitting, still in boxes, around the store. This is a store you’d only come to if you had no other choice. No standards at all.
- Todo bien, menos en dos ocasiones me atendieron dos cajeras nada amables
- Very poorly run Walmart the wait time at the registers is eternal. The money you save on low prices you lose in wait time It’s a disorganized mess. Things are not generally well stocked. Recently, I went to the garden center for pool supplies but they’re using it as a storage area, boxes everywhere and it’s a mess. I wanted to buy some salt for my pool but was not able to get the push kart through the very narrow lanes of boxes so was not able to get to the indoor cash registers. They are having no sales from the garden center. It’s a joke.
