Miami Beach, 1245 NE 163rd St, North Miami Beach, FL 33162

While other locations focus on the posh aesthetic of the Grove or the suburban sprawl of Kendall, The Home Depot at 1245 NE 163rd St is the unapologetic "utility player" of North Miami Beach.

Located right on the 163rd Street corridor—one of the busiest arteries in the county—this store is a high-octane hub for the "Ready-to-Move" crowd. It sits in a uniquely diverse crossroads, serving everything from the mid-century homes of North Miami to the high-rise corridors of Sunny Isles Beach.

The "Moving Day" HQ

This location is North Miami Beach’s unofficial headquarters for transitions. Whether you’re moving into a new condo or prepping a rental property, this store is optimized for speed and transport.

The Penske Powerhouse: This is one of the region’s premier Penske Truck Rental hubs. You’ll see a constant ballet of yellow trucks in the lot, making it the starting line for thousands of Miami moving stories every year.

The "Gateway" Garden Center: Because it serves the nearby coastal communities, the garden center here is a specialist in balcony-friendly greenery and wind-resistant tropicals. It’s where beach dwellers go to turn their concrete terraces into private oases.

Urban Security Focus: Given its central location, this store features an expansive selection of smart home security and doorbell cameras, catering to the tech-savvy urban residents of the surrounding "Golden Glades" and NMB area.

What Makes it Unique?

The "Wallace" Standard: Like many legendary local spots, this Home Depot has "famous" long-term associates (like the locally praised Wallace in Electrical) who act as the neighborhood's unofficial consultants for DIY projects that have gone sideways.

Multicultural DIY: This is a true melting pot. You’ll hear instructions being shouted in Creole, Spanish, Russian, and English. The staff here are master translators of the "Miami project," helping a global customer base find the right PVC pipe or hurricane shutter.

The 163rd St. Efficiency: This location is built for the "In-and-Out" shopper. It features a highly streamlined Curbside Pickup operation, essential for a store located on such a high-traffic road where every minute saved is a win.

The Rental Center MVP: Beyond trucks, their Tool Rental Center is one of the most robust in the area. It’s the go-to spot for specialized floor sanders and pressure washers needed to keep those coastal properties looking sharp against the salt air.

Local Pro-Tip: The 163rd Street traffic can be a beast. To avoid the gridlock, enter through the back access roads rather than turning directly off the main street during rush hour. If you’re renting a truck, try a Tuesday morning—the turnaround is faster, and the "Penske crew" is usually at their peak efficiency.

When The Home Depot was founded in 1978, Bernie Marcus and Arthur Blank had no idea how revolutionary this new “hardware store” would be for home improvement and the retail industry.

Today, we’re proud to be the world’s largest home improvement retailer. In more than 2,300 stores across North America, we aspire to excel in service – to our customers, associates, communities and shareholders. That’s what leadership means to us. That's The Home Depot difference.

Our founders' vision of one-stop shopping for the do-it-yourselfer came to fruition when they opened the first two Home Depot stores on June 22, 1979, in Atlanta, Georgia. The first stores, at around 60,000 square feet each, were cavernous warehouses that dwarfed the competition and stocked 25,000 products, much more than the average hardware store at that time.

Today, The Home Depot is the world's largest home improvement retailer with approximately 475,000 orange-blooded associates and more than 2,300 stores in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. The typical store today averages 105,000 square feet of indoor retail space, interconnected with an e-commerce business that offers more than one million products for the DIY customer, professional contractors, and the industry's largest installation business for the Do-It-For-Me customer.

Wonderful experience. Benny is the best manager in the world. Great service, always helpful for whatever job I have. Benny knows what’s needed to get it done. Very patient with our troubles. Denlly was very helpful as well.

At the registers, Monica and Janiyah were awesome and helped us register an account.

The gentlemen at the paint department was also a huge help. He helped us understand the finishes and was very patient with us.

This Home Depot particularly is a great place to shop.

Benny, it’s Tefi the Jewish woman. She says thank you very much.

Today I had the pleasure of shopping at Home Depot, as I often do, and Ms. Danna was truly wonderful. She works in the electrical department and is a woman with incredible energy. She helped me, provided very personalized and pleasant service, and respectfully educated me about exactly what I was looking for. She was delightful throughout the entire interaction. I hope to shop with her again because she truly has a very kind heart. God bless her, and I wish everyone were like her. Thank you.

Гипермаркет товаров для дома и ремонта. Неплохой выбор товаров в одном месте. Представлены разные бренды, подороже и более бюджетные. Цены средние.

Complete lack of professionalism. 90% of employees are there just to put boxes in place. Very rude atmosphere.
